Was flicking through Gideon Haigh's outstanding book last night. Who wants a crack at the Australians who played in either of the two World Series years? (28 aussies in all, and it's always the last 4-5 who are the hardest to get)
And, part two of the WSC quiz, my checking (but I'm not as certain here) is that four guys across the three teams are no longer with us. Who are they? (and I will stand corrected

if there is actually five or more)

No, Kim never got the phone call and the discrete envelope full of cash during the '77 Ashes tour that most of his teammates got. Him, Geoff Dymock, Craig Serjeant and Gary Cosier must have felt pretty left out. Great morale on that tour.
Although I reckon Serjeant and Cosier both got asked and may have knocked it back.

Kim used to tell the story of how he was approached apparently.
But the people behind it tell he was never approached.

I don't think so, we're starting to look at the more nondescript players now and I reckon I'd have to cheat to remember the rest.
Prior I remembered cos he was South Aussie, Watson cos he shared the same name as a former footy coach of mine.
The rest of course - were guns!

Ah ha! I've been at a night where Ashley Mallett talked about the rights in the West Indies, so he's another one.
We're a bit light on for spinners at the moment, which means Jenner or O'Keefe would be involved somewhere....

Mallett and O'Keeffe get you to 17, with 11 to go.
Jenner was a no as he was in SA turf cricket by then, sledging enormously each Saturday arvo.

Rick McCosker and Ian Davis I reckoned opened in some games
and I reckon that Wayne Prior from S.A, was in the mix some where and a keeper Yagmich from WA

20 now. 8 to go. Prior already named. Yagmich an outstanding get as the 75-76 SA Shield winning keeper under the great Ian Chappell.
