Glad to see that someone else wasted their early teens in the arcades 8)

Falcon Chick wrote:4. Chariots of fire? RIGHT

41. jump kick (you can kill anyone with a jump kick  ) WRONG

10. is it Pauline? RIGHT

I think Skate Or Die was inspired by the line in Q33.

As for Circus Charlie, the answer is a classical piece. The same piece popped up in a couple of Commodore 64 games: during the spaceship-docking sequence in Elite, and when hitching a ride on a balloon in Pitfall II.

And 15 ain't Crash Bandicoot. I've never heard of that one

SCORES!

With the ability to have your spacecraft captured and returned to you, one at a time, it was possible to go through your entire fleet without losing control of the game.

29 Beware, I Live! Fairly sinister-sounding name

7 Donkey Kong (before he was renamed Mario) the hero is a man who jumps. Think about it. ](*,) JUMPMAN! :D RIGHT

11 Double Dragon perhaps "Robin Hood" would've been a better name for this game Marion RIGHT

13 Agent 17 "Otto" spends most of his time going downwards that bloody elevator game.. elevator madness? Shizen, cant remember the name.. Close Enough. Elevator Action

25 Coily and Ugg and Wrong Way, Slick and Sam Super Mario Bros? NOPE

30 Help me! Help me! ... Lucky. The first game to feature synthesised voice (I think) donkey kong? NOPE

40 In Frogger, How many lanes of cars did the frog have to cross? One lane of trucks, one of fast cars, plus N lanes of slow cars = ? Must be 5 then :? RIGHT

41 In Double Dragon, what was the most effective technique/movement? Striking behind yourself with what body part? The elbow punch? Pfft! According to who?[/quote] RIGHT, and according to everyone who ever played the game :p but don't believe them, believe Wikipedia:

The most notable of these techniques is the Elbow Punch, which the player can use to knock down enemies coming from behind. Because of its effectiveness (the move leaves the player temporarily invulnerable to attack during its animation), the Elbow Punch was easily abused by players to complete the game and its effectiveness was reduced in later games in the series. Pressing jump and kick makes the player perform a jumping backward kick, which wasn't as effective as the elbow.

Incidentally I didn't manage to get as far as the trapeze on the Circus Charlie link you posted (I mean, I'm at work and I certainly don't play games here  ) but I suspect the music may not be the same as the arcade version...
