JAS, in your answer to Q9, do you have Hallstatt in mind? It's a World Heritage Village, but I'm not sure if the salt mine is also World Heritage listed.

In any event, Hallstatt is possibly in my top 2 or 3 small towns visited :)

Actually I messed that one up...should have been Germany. I was thinking of Berchtesgaden (where Hilter's Eagles Nest is too) which has salt mines as a tourist attraction. Visited on an excursion while holidaying in Austria years ago and forgot it was just over the border :D

Q8 Errr...not sure I understand this one...don't lots of countries lie on it.
Q9 Saw one on tv years ago that had a church inside it carved from salt...think it was in Poland ?

I agree about Q's 8 and 14, as I stated in my answer. Lots of countries lie on those latitudes, so the question is incomplete.

JAS, Berchtesgarten is another nice place, though.
