106 Australia

I think 7 are doing a great job. You can't show everything live, and watching it delayed was just as exciting if you didn't know the scores already.

ATM, Australia is sitting second ahead of Croatia in group A. Worst we can finish is third. Assume Argentina finish second and Lithuania top.

The second or third team in Group A, play either the second or third team in Group B. The USA will finish top in Group B and
they will play the 4th finisher from Group A (Croatia).

Australia should play IF Argentina win as predicted, Spain, Greece or China....

SJABC I think you've been thrown a furfy there. Croatia should be above Australia on that table, as mentioned, due to their victory over us giving them the tie breaker. Thus with Argentina predictably winning we end up 4th and face the US.

Anyone notice that a victory over Croatia, had the other results remained the same, would have resulted in Australia finishing top of the group by my calculations and a very winnable (If we played well obviously) game against China for a semi final berth and would have meant we should only meet the yanks if we made the final.

Sigh.

Big game tommorow night starting at 8pm Beijing time lucky enough to have booked the session almost a year a go. I dont mind if we lose just as long as we give them a good hard game!

Match starts 9:30 our time? Fingers crossed 7 do the right thing once this olympics and show the match in its entirety. Not cutting out for 10 minute add breaks and missing minutes of action (as has happened in previous matches)

Also for the gamblers i really like Australia at +30.5 I think we will compete for the majority of the game but end up going down by about 20

There's been so much hype for the match that if 7 don't cover it properly they'll be copping flack for a long time.

I reckon you're about right for the 20 pt final margin.

Thanks Jabber

What a laugh watching a sport you haven't seen since the Harlem Globetrotters Xmas Special in 196?...not a clue what's going on

Do you get diferent amount of points depending how far you are from the basket or something???

...and a 'one legged runner' doesn't sound like he'd be the handiest player to have on your team :?
