Welcome to the Olympics Forum

Postby Wedgie » Sat Jul 12, 2008 11:18 am

As suggested by a couple of our punters we've implemented an Olympics Forum and as its less than a month away thought it was time to start it up.
All your Olympics discussion can be had here and hopefully during the events itself it will turn into a handy one stop shop where results can be posted also.
Enjoy!

Good work Wedgie.
Hopefully people can post results updates as they watch the events in different time zones around the world. I'd also encourage people to tell their friends about this site and this Olympics Forum as I'm sure it will be updated much faster than many of the mainstream news sites.

I am lucky enough to be heading to Beijing for 10 days of the games.

Arrive on the afternoon of 10 Aug and departing on 21 Aug.

Have manages to get tickets to some good events Rowing, Hockey, Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Basketball and Womens Football.

Will try and put some thought about my time there on here and maybe even some pic if i can work out how to do that and subject to being able to acess this site in China.

That would be a fun trip for you Tassie. One sport I'd love to see is European Handball. Always the highlight of the Olympics, being a sport we dont see on TV at any other time.

Sounds like a great idea Tassie :D

Would love to hear stories from people that actually go to the games to add a bit of colour to the stats and factual stuff. Photo's would be fantastic and I'm sure we must have a digital whizzkid on here somewhere who can give instructions.

Handball is a great game to watch nice and fast and a little bit physical and they way they throw themselves when the go for goal is amazing. I saw it in Sydney and was very impressed $10 well spent. It is on my list to try and get to again in Beijing but as with all sports tickets are going to be very hard to get.
