Australia again have both men's and women's teams qualified and both are a chance for medals. Both will need to finish in the top 2 in there pools to advance to the semi-finals. Lets hope our guys and girls can keep the medal run going you have to go back to Moscow 1980 to find a games we didn't win a medal and this was due to the hockey teams boycotting the games.

The men's world number 1 ranked Australia have beaten Korea (ranked 5) 4-1 in Cairns in the best of 3 series as a warm up before the games. Game 2 is Monday and final game on Wednesday.

At the games the Kookaburras will face Netherlands (3) Pakistan (7) Great Britain (8) South Africa (13 )and Canada (16 ) in the pool games.

The Hockeyroos are currently ranked number 4 in the world and in there pool matched they play Netherland (1) China (6) Spain (7) Korea (10) and South Africa (12)

Shit performance by Channel 7 --- they wont allow SBS to show it and decline to show it themselves
I thought that was the idea of SBS having the suplimentary rights
