Paul Benz would be disappointed about not getting selected for the athletics.
I understand he missed out by the smallest of margins.

Good news for those in the UK that want to watch...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_s ... 412941.stm

BBC television coverage of the Paralympics will be more extensive than ever before, action will be streamed live for six hours a day through the red button and via broadband.

Always try to follow as much as possible...I think the Paralymics is always overshadowed by the Olympics and the athletes rarely get the attention they deserve. I encourage everyone to try and watch some of it...these guys and gals work and train just as hard and sometimes harder than their able-bodied counterparts...a medal for them should be just as important...they represent our countries too.

Just a few days to go :D
The BBC was showing some primetime promotions/ads for their coverage last night which was good to see.

Looking at the official website it appears that there is an online tv channel for the Games that I think will be showing live events...might be useful if the tv stations don't live up to their promises.

http://en.paralympic.beijing2008.cn/index.shtml

It's on the right-hand side, under 'Video'...called 'Paralympic Sport.tv'

The link takes you here...

...and the YouTube link is...

According to Wikipedia, the "intellectual disability" category in the paralympics is currently suspended. Anyone know why?
