Apparently it’s mostly been people using iOS and Xbox apps who aren’t on the Optus networks - probably the exact people who Optus would want to provide the best service for as they aren’t Optus customers

This was so inevitable. The thing with broadcasting something in the conventional way, via radio waves, is that the broadcast is unaffected by how many people tune in. Given the physical size of the country, the infrastructure involved, and the inherent inconsistent nature of internet connections, this was always going to happen.

Amazing to think that we had better World Cup coverage 30+ years ago.

I think we are probably 3-5 years away from this being a good idea.

not everyone has NBN yet, and Optus clearly didn't put enough effort into provisioning their servers (which is ridiculous really)

VAR pen to the Swedes. Was a deadset pen but the ref was a disgrace for not giving it straight away. They are too scared of making a call

Smartly taken free kick but disgraceful free kick decision. I’m sure Morrell would love that decision
