I know we already have a Beckham Watch thread but I thought i would put it in here

Milan eye Beckham return

Italian giants confident about return of England star. AC Milan believe they are in pole position to secure David Beckham's loan return to the San Siro in January.

The veteran England midfielder joined the Italian giants in a similar move last term as he sought playing time to stay in England boss Fabio Capello's thoughts.
While the Los Angeles Galaxy player has the option of returning, there are also thought to be "three or four other offers".
But the Italian club remain confident that the 34-year-old will decide to return to the San Siro.

The special one is at it again

Mourinho handed one-game ban

Jose Mourinho has been hit with a one-game touchline ban after being sent to the stands on Sunday.

Thursday 24th September
Genoa 2 - 2 Juventus

Wednesday 23rd September
Atalanta 0 - 0 Catania

A late header from David Trezeguet earned Juventus a battling 2-2 draw at Genoa in Serie A on Thursday.
It was the first time Juventus had dropped points in five matches this season but they still moved level with champions Inter Milan at the top of the table on 13 points.
Striker Vincenzo Iaquinta had put visitors Juventus in front after six minutes with a well-worked goal before Giandomenico Mesto equalised just after the half hour.
Genoa substitute Hernan Crespo then nodded in at the near post to put the hosts ahead in the 74th minuted, after Iaquinta had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside,
But Trezeguet then grabbed a deserved draw when the Genoa defence fell apart in the 86th minute to allow the veteran striker to score.

Was watching an Italian game late one night on Foxtel at a friend's place a week or 2 ago. Saw a player with a really strange looking face mask (not sure if it would be classed as a helmet?), never seen anything like it before.

Inter looked bright after the interval and Diego Milito came close to breaking the deadlock after Luca Castellazzi saved Mario Balotelli's deflected effort.
The Nerazzurri laid siege to the Samp goal in search of an equaliser in the final 10 minutes, but the closest they came was Lucio's disallowed goal for offside.

Fiorentina have moved level on points with champions Inter after securing a 1-0 win at lowly Livorno.
The game was decided in the 76th minute when Fiorentina were awarded a penalty for Marcus Diniz's foul on Alberto Gilardino.

David Trezeguet broke the deadlock at Stadio Olimpico after 24 minutes and Adailton levelled matters in the dying seconds.

Lazio have now gone four games without a win after they could only muster a 1-1 draw against Palermo.

Cagliari ensured they claimed back-to-back victories as they enjoyed a 2-0 success on the road at Parma.

Udinese caused more misery for Genoa as they left it late before securing a 2-0 win.
Antonio Di Natale fired the hosts in front after 81 minutes and Pepe added a second two minutes from the end.

Elsewhere, Chievo were held 1-1 at home by Atalanta.
Sergio Pellissier (77) ensured the points would be shared when he cancelled out Simeon Tiribocchi's 72nd minute opener.

Finally, the evening match saw AC Milan's stuttering start to the new season continue as they played out a goalless draw with Bari at San Siro.

Did anyone see the Juventus v Napoli game or highlights from 31/10/09?

Cracker of a game with Napoli coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Juve's 2nd goal was a debacle with the Napoli centre back heading straight down to the striker from an opportunistic long ball into the area. It was the assist of the season. This effort was followed by a similarly embarassing piece of defending by Juve, gifting Napoli a goal and a road back.

And I thought Serie A was boring.......not so!
