Socceroos midfielder Mark Bresciano is to continue playing football in Italy, announcing he has joined Serie A club Lazio.
The 30-year-old recently took part in the World Cup as a free agent after being released by Palermo at the end of last season.
He confirmed to SBS via phone from Venice that he signed a two-year contract with Lazio in Rome on Thursday.
Lazio is Bresciano's fourth Serie A club.
He played at Empoli from 1999 to 2002 before joining Parma, which he left in 2006.
