Surely the odds on Germany to shorten considerably as their young side gets more experience.

The Dutch will blood some youngsters for this one too. They'll use the games as a pre cursor to the next World Cup qualifying campaign.....

Ukraine at $34 aint bad for a smokey. Home tournament and they usually play half decent football. France will be the big improver, id expect them to make quarters at very least.

Severe lack of goals overnight and a few 0-0 draws.
England did what they had too against a poor welsh side.
Upset of the round was Georgia beating Croatia 1-0.
Ireland have kept up the hunt for the finals defeating FYROM 2-1

Netherlands and Hungary made up for the lack of goals Jim.

The Dutch won 5-3. van Persie injured again, no surprise there.

Its good to see Prandelli's changes are starting to have an impact with the Italian team. France have also improved under Blanc after a few shakey matches at the start of his tenure. Look out for both these teams wanting to make up for humiliating WC campaigns. Spain still the clear favourite.

England and the Netherlands are pretty close also.

Unbelievable result for Armenia.

Sad news last night though with a Welsh fan dying after an assault at Wembley.

Well England are through after a 2-2 draw in Montenegro last night.
We looked like a team the wasn't interested and Montenegro played the 2nd half like their lives depended on it.

Rooney got sent off for a stupid kick out at a Montenegro player that was completely unprovoked and will miss at least one game in the finals. He is a hothead at the best of times and probably frustrated at the lack of service and effort from his team mates when he went up front on his own.

He now joins Beckham as the only players to get sent off Twice playing for England. (both Man U boys incidentally)

That was Englands 900th competitive international during which time they have scored 1,998 goals. What a disappointment against a team that has only been playing for 4 years and a country of only 625,000 pop.

Montenegro qualify for the play off's with the draw after Wales beat Switzerland

Yes it is Estonia's first time this far.

Serbia have no-one else to blame but those hooligans who kicked off at the Italy game early in the campain, they missed out on qualifying buy 1 point and they where on equal goal diff. Italy where awarded the match and a 3-0 win as a result, I'm sure if it was played out, serbia could of drawn with Italy and they would be 3 goals better on the table, but they didn't so like I said no-one but there own fans to blame......and congrats to Estonia

Whilst that is true I think they should have qualified anyway.
Estonia had the bye in last round and Serbia only needed a point against a very poor Slovenian side. The fact that they lost to Slovenia suggests they shouldnt have progressed further.
Good to see a fresh face in Estonia, just hope they dont draw one of the bigger sides in playoff.
Definately noticed the smaller countries are a lot more competitive, sides like Georgia, Malta, Armenia etc dont cop the large floggings anymore and as we have seen with Estonia and Montenegro they dont fear the big countries
