The chavs still need to qualify for the champ league next season still?

They have knocked out spurs, but still need to play 2 games to qualify

Congrats on the Chavs for joining the elite now, guess that makes them the Kings of London now.
Only good teams win the CL so hats off to them.
No suprise that Drogba scored in a big game he always does, cant believe they are willing to let him walk so they can keep Torres, i know who id pick everyday of the week
Well done to Roberto, maybe Abramovich might swallow his pride and sign him up rather than getting some over paid big name hack

Yep only 2 to catch us now and 1 to catch Forest ;)
Seriously though well done its an awesome effort and hopefully silences a few people who question the standard of football in the EPL, when you think that the European Champs finished in 6th and 25 points behind the leaders it shows how tough the EPL is. Enjoy the win Chavski, well deserved especially King Roberto

My understanding is that the qualifying place will go to the next lowest ranked European non-champion. So I don't think your scummers will have to go through qualifyers, but hope I'm wrong.

Incorrect
Chavs into group stage, the Arse have to come through qualifiers. Dont worry you will get some crap eastern European side that wouldnt be competive in English League 1

Was going by the official UEFA info during the week. Chavski as winners would go directly in and 4th into qualifiers.
There was still confusion about it up until last night but you are correct, they have announced that now all 4 English sides will be in the group stage.

Yes i apologise.
Will be interesting when the seedings are done, would think United and Chavski would be in pot 1 and would avoid the other big guns. Arsenal and Shiteh should be in one of the lower pots

What you on bout Jim? 3 of them in pot one and city should be in pot 3 or 4 going by UEFA guildlines.
