What I didn't understand is there was a little tiny section of crowd on the same side of the ground the cameras were shooting from

Who were they, why were they allowed in and no one else

They wont win it IMO, played a bunch of part timers today from a crap league.
Munich dismantled Roma 7-1 away from home and the Gypsies are sitting second in Serie A.
I do think the winner will only come from the quad of Real, Barca, Munich or the Chavs though, rest are making up numbers

300 Moscow Corporates.
Which makes it even more of a farce as City got no one and they had nothing to do with the home fans ban.

We are Tottenham of last season. Always wondered if we wouldn't have been better served bringing in 2-3 top shelfers, rather than 6 or 7 potentially good young players. I rate our Gaffer, but it took him 2 years to get what we had to gel and by bringing in so many newbies, he has to run through that lengthy process all over again.

You mean Suarez happened? Losing a guy that scores 30+ a year is damaging, can't replace it

Well yeah, that plays a fair part, but the problems run much deeper than that .. We're not playing anywhere near the same type of dangerous football as last season. We look slow, our defence is either just as bad or worse, Gerrard looks old and slow, etc.

Certainly a degree of it comes down to no Suarez (although he missed the first 8 matches last season) and some of it to being worked out by the opposition. Then an ordinary start and the confidence drops. I didn't see much of this mornings game but I don't think there's any shame in getting rolled by Real.

Doesnt help that you brought in that petulant brat Balotelli, said it would end in tears and appears that will be the case. Moped around in the first half sulking like a baby then has the audacity to swap his shirt with his opponent at the HT whistle before he got subbed out. The guy is a cancer and will destroy the spirit and morale that Rogers has worked so hard for.

Very lucky in the end but that should be enough to see you through to the knockout stage. Would of been a disaster losing to a team of A-League standard but Arsenal showed character when it mattered

Carragher was right, it was a desperation buy .. Balotelli ain't all of our problem either, don't know that he's good enough to be a solo striker and he's only had the one game with Sturra .. Hate his body language though
