The World Game

Japan game was an anomaly - we got played off the park that game (I was there :( )

Plenty of the other games we have had most of the possession and created more than enough chances but we had Juric and Kruse and Leckie up front who couldn’t finish if their life depended on it

Ange has done an amazing job

Played youth in his early days ahead of the 'older stars'. No international manager would have done that as they would have been using us as a stepping stone, putting immediate results ahead of long term success.

Our team finally has a clear identity, while we struggle to score goals we play a very clear possession based game, we actually try and play football

Well done Ange

But agreed. Now is the time to try and grab a big name. They only have to coach for a year.

Sorry but anyone who thinks Ange didn't do a good job has NFI

Started off ok but wasn’t impressed at all with him in the last year or so. Refused to go back to the 4 at the back which suits our style and persisted with utter duds and golden boys like Milligan and Troisi who are tripe

Agree regarding Milligan. But we have zero decent full backs and our best players are mids, reckon that was the reason for the back 3

Yep try and hold possession and control the game, our strength was our midfield

If done well you should only need 3 at the back

With any coach you have to consider the talent he has available vs the talent he's up against.

I don't watch or know enough about it, but are we that good that we should be higher up world rankings? I wouldn't have thought so...but over to you learned lot.

Hope they're right. Awesome manager and would make Sydney FC weaker if he leaves there.

At the end of the day we just don’t have enough players playing in big leagues like we once did.

Our best period we had
Cahil, Kewell, Viduka, Schwarzer, Neill and Emerton all playing regular EPL
Bresciano, Grella and back up keeper Kalic playing in Seria A
A couple of others playing in Germany.

Look what we have now, a 37 year got us through against Syria
Our better players in our squad now in the championship or are playing part time in Germany.

He failed before with a stronger squad. Had a falling out with some of the players aswell. No to Arnie from me, we need a coach with European exams contacts

FIFA rankings are never an accurate reflection but several experts have us as the worst that will be on Russia. I honestly think there are 7 or 8 worse and with the right group draw we could make the second round

Did a more amazing job at Central Coast considering their budget compared to most other clubs.
