How funny was the players lying all over the an official photographer in the celebrations and he kept snapping away

John Stones, that’s what $155m buys you :)
Little wonder Pep doesn’t play him half the time at club level

OK, after having a think about it all... England went away from their game plan in the 2nd half.... 1st half didn't let the Croatian players have a break, harrassed and moved constantly...

Second half lacked urgency and tried to sit back... when Croatia scored, England panicked, and reverted to long balls from defence. Because the midfield were sitting to far back this isolated Kane and made it so easy for the defenders. Croatia didn't go long ball but were patient and moved the ball around slowly moving the England defence around the park and creating openings... England needed to keep at the Croats, they were out on their feet yet England allowed them to play at their pace. Croatia stuck to their game plan in the 2nd half and deserved the win...

2 goals from defenders ball watching... Stones was a terrible mistake.

What England needs is a player like Modric (I wish), someone who is creative in midfield , pulling the strings, and picking the passes... We have Henderson as a holding midfielder who we replaced with Dier another holding midfielder...

If we could find that creative midfielder, with this young team, who are only going to get better and more experienced then things are looking good...

Still so sad... :(

FOOTBALL fans’ worst fears have been realised after it was revealed that Qatar 2022 would indeed be the first-ever winter edition of the tournament.
The 2022 World Cup will kick off on November 21 with the final played on December 18 — just a week before Christmas.

It had to be moved to later on in the year if it was to remain in the Middle East. Can’t hold a WC in 40-46 degrees

Cruel start for the Croats, all over France who score on their first foray forward via a dive and then an OG

Not much justice in the half time score line. Croatia were by far the better side.

had to happen
I would assume most europe leagues would have reduced seasons and maybe no promotion and relegation that season considering that its right smack in the middle of europe seasons

Croats very unlucky, were the better side for most of the night but had nothing in their final third

That would suck imo.

I would rather see a month break in the between the season and more 'mid week' games to make up for those missed meaning clubs would need to use more of their squads.

All leagues must go into recess during the WC. There will be an earlier start and later finish to the season plus more midweek fixtures
