I always found it interesting that it wasnt used for some bigger games - even a premier league game between two big clubs would draw 90k.

is there a reason for this? Im not sure of the history etc

Because home ground is huge in soccer. 50/50 compared 85/15 support.

Of course, but surely tottenham are selling tickets to their supporters first, so could still create a one sided stadium?

Im just thinking of a scenario where say Chelsea could get 90k chelsea fans against liverpool, instead of 40k.

It's not a requirement, they are choosing to play at Wembley to gain experience for the following year and getting a lot more spectators in since WHL is reduced ATM.

Next year for what? Spurs won't finish top 4. Gave up home field for nothing

Big clubs would never give up home turf. Playing at wembly would become a 50/50 game where at Stamford bridge it's probably 70/30 or 80/20 win percentage. To much at stake.

They'd lose home ground advantage in EPL games where at least playing European sides they still have home country advantage.

They'd still lose their advantage. If Barca had to play Chelsea for example at wembley rather than Stamford Bridge they'd be licking their lips

Apparently no club has come back from 4-0 after the first leg of a Champion's League knock out stage. Just need my Arsenal to do it against Bayern and Napoli against Madrid ( [-o< ) and the comp will be thrown wide open

If you think they can....they are $41 to win the Champions League.

Unders mate .. Can't see it happening, would be an amazing achievement though. If they drop La Liga and the CL (both of which look likely), be interesting to see who they chase for next season, what sort of $$ they part with, and who might move on from the Camp.
