Farva, I don't disagree with your comments re Flaggies oval but ironically it is in better condition, for this time of year, than it has been for a decade. It was only a few years ago Lonsdale refused to play on it due to the massive expanse (i.e. total oval) of mud.

Lonsdale's trainer raised the issue with the umpires that one entire edge of the cement cricket pitch had been exposed by the rain washing away the sand and that 2 B grade players had knee injuries from hitting the concrete, and after consultation with both captains the A grade game was called off.

Yep correct Waterboy I was in the A's that day! *Insert Flaggy depth issues jokes here*

From memory a majority of the Lonny lads were a bit worse for wear after (rightfully) honouring the memory of a much loved family member the previous night.

Gee that would've been quite funny if they did hold a final at Lonsdale, pity the poor blokes that had to play there. What can i say, maybe they saw it as simple as "C grade final, better play it at a C grade venue"?

Nice to hear the venue has been changed to a more suitable location.

Im pretty sure with 35 blokes having played under 20 games at Marion, only a certain few, if any would be thinking about 10 years ago,but in 10 years 35 blokes will remember their first win at Marion FC!!
And yes, the vibe at the club was well and truly alive Sat night and showed that Marion SOCIAL Club need the football club as much as the footballers need the club!

Stop making up things Ol Man Emu. It only serves to confuse.

The C grade 2nd semi-final is at LONSDALE and will be between Morphett Vale and Brighton regardless of results tomorrow night and Sunday.

Its a stand alone game with no charge at the gate so thats one more Woodstock you can afford.

C Grade comment. With any luck you won't have to play there for a couple of years so we don't have to listen to you bitching about the oval. Not every club can have a flawless oval like yours.
