We are well aware that your club (shoes) have approached a number of our players but the fact of the matter is we are confident of retaining them. To approach the odd player here or there is not a problem but to prey on the number of our players that you have is bordering on disgraceful but not surprising as you guys have a history of doing this sort of thing and are a major reason Hackham find themselves in the position they find themselves in today.

LH we have not approached any current Lonsdale players FACT we have spoken with some lads that have directly or indirectly approached us!! Speak to Kane and he will fill you in as he is close to our coach!!!
My mail has a number of Lonsdale players have approached clubs in the SFL and GSFL.
As I have posted previously we are out there to recruit the right type of player that will complement our list and work with one of the best group of young lads playing in the SFL.

haha shoe boy i know of one that was rung some four weeks ago by your assistant coach, (is it tassone). This same player i am told was very close to joining you club last year and had many phone conversations with people in high places at the shoe. He may end up playing at the next season but to say you are not trying to poach our players is not entirely correct. I am also aware of some of our fringe players approaching your club but i think most of them will stay at lonsdale.

Pretty poor form if true, think the bottom clubs players should be left alone.

Can definatly confirm some of my mates from Lonsdale were approached by Noarlunga, unless they were pissing down my back and calling it rain.......But I highly doubt that.

just my thoughts, in no way are these facts, but.........

i really beleive the lions may be struggling to pull together a team for 2009. i know they're only rumors, but if the shoes are approaching a lot of lions, and i cant see the shoes asking the "lesser" players to suit up for them.

and the fact that (to the best of my knowledge) they still havnt named a coach, tells me that they are in serios trouble, or at least more trouble than they are making out.

I did drive past one of there trainings the other night (which i hear is non compulsory and just organised by the players) and they did have 20 odd players out there having a run. Which i think they would be pretty happy with.
I havent heard of anyone leaving, but have heard of a few definate recruits, so i dont see why people think they are going to struggle for a team next year.
On the coaching side of it, it does seem pretty slack, but going through the other forums for the other leagues, there are still quiet a few teams without a coach, so assuming they get one signed by january i dont really see an issue there either
