Big call cyclops, Golding still goes very well and probably would be one of the best rucks in the SAAFL....Bode is good though.

So has Comer officially been signed with Edwardstown?
Any other good signings from them, I hear they have been extremely busy. Will make for a good start in 09 I imagine.

No not at all RF they have spoke to him as he has a close relationship with Golding and they should get in a que as Shanes phone runs hot this time of year.
But take it from me Shane will be back bigger and fitter than ever in 09 for the Shoe. Also he is close to his life membership at the club also.

Oh ok that's good to hear he is literally a massive part of your side. It wouldn't be the same if that big unit wasn't at the Shoes he would be great to help with the younger guys.

Comer will be back bigger? Are you building a wendy's down at the shoe over pre-season?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Agree that is a major role for Shane as we have some talented lads that are coming into seniour footy who need some guidance. As for am I coaching no I just work behind the scenes.

Against the Emus this year didnt Shane Comer pull an "Andrew Symonds" and take off on a weekend fishing trip or something and didnt even tell the coaches? Shoe Boy is he a good role model, and Id be interested in what sort of guidance he gives the young lads down there? Besides fishing tips of course.

CT you are half right Shane took of on holiday and did not inform the club or even his employer. At the time Shane was having some probs that I wont get into but no excuse for no comunication.
As for a role model I dont beleive I used them words but definetly a talented man with a wealth of knowledge to pass on to the young lads. A role that Shane has played in the past and will continue to in the future.

We have met with Rod and he agrees that last year was a right off and acknowledges he let himself down.
We have asked him to get on the track so both parties can see where they are at.
