Morphett Vale is looking for a team to play in a trial on March 13th for both A & B Grades.
We did have one organised for that date with Para Hills but they have pulled out. Our ground will be available or we will play at yours if you wish. Send me a personal message if you can help.

Bar the Shoes and Brighton yesterday did anyone else have a hit out?

I cant comment on the Shoes as cricket finals took preference but believe it was a good hitout for both sides.

Oval is never great this time of year but the rain has done it the world of good. I know alot of work has gone into it.

No probs SB.

From what i saw a solid hitout for both teams and no injuries to speak of.

Any results from saturdays trials? Seen a bit of Blackwood vs. Shoes, Blackwood a class above, won by 8 or 9 goals.
Selfe looks to be a good player, but lazy at times. Minns played but dean didn't. Not sure how many shoes were off full strength or the woods? Shoes very undisciplined and back chatting.
Funniest part of trial was when "tough guy" J Rigney took number 2 for blackwood out from behind late in a marking contest, they both got off the ground and rigney squared right up to take him on, then persisted to ballet dance away without throwing anything, as number 2 chased him around    So tough........

Didnt think it was a good idea by christies. Did christies have a full squad? What was the final margin (although it doesnt matter)?

Yes Panther 32 this Saturday 20th starting at 2.45, two other games prior for memory I think it is Cove v Goody Saints A & B (stand to be corrected on that one)

Think Francis wanted to expose his kids in the first half against a stronger mv outfit. Fair to say it didnt have the effect he may have been after. Probably deflated their confidence a little. They mixed a few seniors in the 2nd half and MV played a younger side. Think the final score was roughly 50 goals to 4 or 5. Both sides had quite a few missing by the looks.
