I rate Chris Minns very highly! Was Bays u19s Capt when I first came across him. Top bloke!
Played juniors at Cove before the Bays. Am surprised Cove cleared him to be honest.

If that's the top five I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Vick ---- would be great to see him bag one after the stuff-up in '06.

Vick is the Buckley of the afl, surely one has to come his way before he retires. Minns both times we played shoes this year also Had alot of it. My pick out of these two as I think hunter would have too much competition in his own team mcivor I've never heard of but apparently had a good year but not enough wins but also wade almost got it last year. Marks wouldn't have a clue but wouldn't think so.

With no disrespect to the Sharks, I find it hard to figure how a club who's A grade has struggled to be competitive but can have a B grade player close to winning the B grade mail medal. I have no idea who Dale Anderson is, but my question would be 'if he was so good in the B grade competition, why hasnt he played a lot more A grade footy'?

B-Grade often has a low vote, and sixth place could be a long way behind the winner.

Dale has played many years at the A grade level for other clubs, with only a couple of years left he just wants to finish off in the reserves. He is carrying many injuries and after playing one A grade game for Aldinga decided to finish off his career in the 2's. He has indicated that he will play again next year but that may well be his last year. Would love to see him in the A's but not complaining when I line up with him in the reserves.

Thanks 1983. Makes sense. As a point of interest, what position does he play?

I find it very hard to understand that norsworthy isnt in the top 5. with the handfull of games I saw him in this year he was a stand out on the field. This guy just racks up stat arfter stat and doesnt know how to not run hard and get the footy. Reminded me of an old bomber from years ago someone jolly.
I also hear that michalanney had a great year in the magoos and would be an a grade ruckmen at most clubs.

Agreed, from a MV perspective he stood out both times we played you guys, very good footballer. Don't be alarmed at the top 5 vote getters, after all look who's responsible for them.

Michael Bode = Gun should win this years by the length of the Flemington straight and Braden Bayly being the comp's premier rover for the last few years should already have one around his neck.

As for B grade, "should" be between Michaelanney/Hoffman and McPherson, all three are outstanding players at that level, and as you say all could be playing A grade at any other club outside the top 3.

On the ball, center. Probably helps a lot why he is always in the best. He is a classy player though. Just a point of interest, Aldinga may be getting belted but we do have some very good players i.e. Harman brothers, Dale Anderson, Anthony Carlile and Rigby Barnes. The problem is the other players in both senior teams are not at the same level (no disrespect to them or their efforts) , if we had more players like Dale Anderson we would do much better.

Congratulations to all the winners, but of course, especially Sam Napier.
Also glad Josh Vick got one he could keep ;)

Anyone know who won the SFL Volunteer of the Year Award?

(Was first one I've missed for many years. Our Treasurer & I gave up our tickets as each club is allocated 30 tickets, and our full allocation was needed for players who got into Jnr Teams of Year, & our other award winners)

Great win by a true medallist ----one of the most popular wins for many years.
Well done Josh Vick ---- you are a champion
