LMAO...that is good coming from you. You could probably say the same about Reynella. Why did you leave?

I think those players left because Noarlunga couldn't/wouldn't pay them the amounts they are getting elsewhere.

The Shoes will still be competitive I would think.

To help out a good mate as a player/assistant coach...

But as you pointed out it was due to money...

Do you think they will be as competitive as last season? Without being bias of course. The only reason why I ask is everyone is tipping Brighton to smash the Shoes at Noarlunga which comes as a surprise to me. Are you saying I shouldn't give you blokes that much credit???

brighton v shoes game could be closer than what people think. Saw brighton against tununda in a trial the other week and brighton had a couple of worrying signs. they looked slow and out of legs after half time and the back line looked like it was missing. The loss of whitford is gooing to hurt brighton. But than again it was only a trial and they did play a team that has been premiers for 4 years straight. I shall be watching with interest this week.

I cannot believe it either that everyone has tipped Brighton to smash Noarlunga and whilst they have lost a few they look like they have picked up a few too. I would say their losses outweigh their gains but I suspect that they will be knocking on the door of the top four again.

Here's my tips - to be honest I've got no idea how anyone's been going so far, Mr McSpaz has hung up the boots so I'm a bit out of the loop.

Aldinga v Christies - Sharks by 3 goals
Cove v Porties - Porties 10 pts
Flaggies v Valley - Valley 7 goals
Parks v Towns - Townies 5 goals
Shoes v Brighton - Shoes behind all day to win by 2 goals
Lions v Hawks - Lonsdale 5 goals
Wineys v Emus - Emus 5 goals
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

Never cared about other games so:

Roos by 1 point in both A & B grade.

I wish the best to Ben Porter & Geoff Hardy through out the season, and to Mark Knowles who, in my opinion would be one of the best players (if he wanted to play football) in ANY B grade side, maybe an A grade player who does not want want any coin, all the best. Some forum writers may not be old enough to know how good this bloke is, but in my eyes he is the epitome of clubman.

Good luck NOONG, and hope you trip over.

Was it planned or coincidence that round 1 games is what Div 1 and Div 2 would be like if you spilt it for season 2012????? the 8 teams in div 1, and 7 in div 2 (marion Bye) or even if it was 10 in div 1 the next 2 in line MVP and Etown play anyway.

Aldinga v Christies - Aldinga with depth and C grade but how good is the depth? a lot of mercenries left (surprise.... ) Christies bit of surprising margin in round 1. should win again, Christies.
Cove v Porties - Dont underestimate either of these sides this year, will be very competiive. Cove plenty of good young players, Matt reavill back from reco.? Porties top 6 players as good as any on the league, Curyer a good in. Cove at home to win
Flaggies v Valley - Falcons have a harder draw than last year but took giant strides, haver heard no major losses and 1 absolutly massive inclusion to the onball brigade. Valleys heaps of ins and outs, sugg, gregory are big losses but P-grey, J Eags and squire are good ins. Flaggy at home to win
Parks v Towns - Roos lose Seb gain trev C so worked out ok, also took on more mercenries... will lack B grade depth again and injuries could hurt. Towns have a few losses and not many gains. I have a feeling they could slip a bit this year. Roos at home and maybe by a bit
Shoes v Brighton - Shoes have massive outs but at least 2 great ins Ridley and carter. Golding still go to guy and how will comer ruck all year by himself. Brighton solid as normal, whitford big loss and also some quality B graders left also, not sure on any major gains? Brighton to win
Lions v Hawks - I really fear for OSB lonny especially if they lose this one, which I think they will. Too may losses, no gains, no depth and no juniors pushing through, very very long year for them screaming give us Div 2! Hawks beaten by too much last week if they are serious this year, will get better each game and will have too many fit players this week and will win, margin Im not sure.
Wineys v Emus -Reynella have enormous outs and not many gains, but are a depth club with a strong B grade. Dont write them off this year but will miss X factor key players. Have a lot of fringe South players returning for this game. Can anyone tell me did Bishop get sacked or stood down himself? its still beyond me that a coach can take a rebuilding team to prelim then losing granny and get bumped out by someone else?????? MV took good steps last year with younger players and will be up thereabouts again. MV to win prob by a bit.

Just one thought on my mind today - C'mon you Falcons!!

I've been looking forward to this match since the fixture was released.
Perfect day for it too.
Should be a good crowd at Flagstaff Oval to kick off the new season

Christies over Aldinga by 17 goals, so says the SFL website - f*** me. Could someone please confirm this result? I wasn't at the game. The other half took one look at the score and reversed his decision to retire.

Apparently Vikings spoiled the party for you again. Also heard that Dan May broke his leg, which will be a big loss for the Vikings. Seems that things just don't change for Flaghie when playing the Derby. Wine flies and Emus should be very interesting game tomorrow.
