Reynella by 3 goals. Umpires were the real stars of the show though! They were the reason everyone was there apparently!

Flaggys win 4 of the 5 games, only losing the 14's

A couple of interesting results today, Flaggies over Brighton (quite convincingly too!), Happy Valley smashing the Emus and The Flies up over Porties!
Looks like it's going to be an interesting year come September.
Geez, no wonder Mahoney is trying to recruit!!! ;)

Well the rumour was it was an ex AFL player and 2 SANFL players!
Clearly doesn't think his current group can get it done!

Umpires were a bloody disgrace. Over twenty 50metre penalties given. You know they are bad when they blow their whistle and the whole ground crowd and players included go quiet just waiting for what the decision is going to be. A really good game of footy from both sides ruined by the umpires because that is all people could talk about after the game. Guys that have been involved with footy for 50+ years commenting saying it was the worst performance they have ever seen.

Some very interesting results around the traps. I bet no-one picked Flaggies, Valley and Reynella all to win

Was at the game and have to agree with the standard of umpiring. Some of the 50's were there but most were not. Umpires lost control after the lad from porties got knocked out early in the game. Hope he is ok today. Crap way to celebrate his 100th game.

The bloke that headbutted Prescott must be feeling pretty ordinary today i'd expect. 3 goals in 1 minute in the goal square was a classic example of umpires being over officious.

Great win by the Flies, but well played Porties who had no bench for the last quarter.

Was at the H/Valley M/Vale game and overheard the Valley coach talking about how they are close to getting Nathan Eagleton playing this season. Has been at 3 or 4 games this year to watch and has had several discussions with the club. Maybe in time for a tilt at the finals ????

Would be a handy inclusion, but I thought he was carrying a serious hip injury? Big bonus is that he would be a zero pointer for Valley. Eagleton to Eagleton to Eagleton, wonder how many SFL clubs have had 3 brothers in an A grade side before..

Yeah I had heard he had a hip injury and didnt see him at the game on the weekend - is Dent hoping to just get him qualified for finals? What sort of fitness level will he have?

Dont think we have ever had 3 brothers - 2 Eagletons, Alvinos, Sukkels, Squires, Suggs but never 3 brothers

Not sure if it has happened because Josh is injured, but his 2 brothers, Dave and Stuart are currently playing 1's @ MV.

Isn't there a 4th Eagleton playing at Walkerville? That would be hard to top.

The 3 McIntyre brothers at Lonsdale, all played on the ball in the premiership team in 2001.

Maybe they should make a comeback? It could be like the Hatfields vs The McCoys except McIntyres vs Eagletons. Could have banjo music as they ran through a banner and if it was a draw they have a shootout.

Pretty impressed by the shoes on the wk end went down there thinking the cobras were a good show for an upset. Credit to the shoes tho they keep winning with our golding and would have to be clear favorites now. Saying that any of the top 6 probably think there best is better than the rest so it's going to be a good finish.
