There is a huge difference from gsfl and the sfl bottom sides. You can't even compare. However I still think sfl top sides on there day would give goolwa a good beating as an example. But don't disagree with ur last comment. So if that's the case goolwa r a chance to beat sides like willunga and other tops sides on there day?

If the sfl don't change to 2 div more players will leave the comp. I'm not sure if this is true but at the gf last year a supporter told me that gsfl clubs have a lot more money than sfl clubs. Is this true?

Higher km's = Higher $$$.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Whilst Goolwa only won one game last year, they pushed a lot of sides - it was hard to see how they didn't win more. This year they are sitting at 4 wins and 4 losses.

But yes is the answer to your question. eg Last game Victor lost to Langhorne Creek by 124 points (both sides were at 3 wins, 4 losses but Creek are hitting their straps after a slow start) and the previous week Victor beat Willunga by 10 points (Victor 2 wins, 4 losses and Willunga were undefeated). Myponga with 1 win for the year have been on the end of a couple of 100 point floggings but only lost to Encounter bay by 4 points a couple of weeks back too.

I would say Norsworthy had a booking for a spray tan and hair extensions, johnstone most probably completing his makeup course and River no doubt would have had commitments with his dancing class. All probably would have been handy Saturday by the looks of things, it's a pity that the salon and looking good comes first with these lads !! :D :D

The above SFL team selected is out of form!

Hopefully the SFL will change there mentality towards these association games & start to look at players who are inform on a year by year basis. This might build the interest from players wanting to play in such type of games as we all know you need a name to be able to play in the association team. At the moment no-one cares about these matches because it doesn't matter if you are in the best players every week, you won't be picked unless you have played at SANFL or AFL Level.

I am intrigued to know how the GSFL team best players would stack up against the SFL team!

I can see where Spangy is coming from here. Apparently Elliott King from M/Park was invited to train but hasn't played a game yet this season.
Can anyone confirm this was the case?

The great man was not feeling well all week and could consider himself lucky to even be lining up!

Glad to hear something wasn't right with rigney, as i went to the game saturday looking fwd to watch him having heard huge raps about him but was dissapointed to see no hangers and goals that he is apparantly known for. When i rocked up seeing great southern's backline i was tipping southern but they didn't have any tall key focal points to trouble great southern in the air. Cranston in ruck dominated all day as expected, but other than that didn't notice too many standouts even vick who was named best didn't get a heap of the footy. Southern did well to stay in touch though and it is definately a better idea for great southern to play the southern league rather then the river murray league who are much weaker.

Last year goolwas only win was against encounter bay and the week before that EB beat willunga!!

I couldn't see any GSFL side losing to a SFL side by more than 10goals period.

I think as EV said a lot of SFLs better players are heading country for the $$
Can't really do much about that.

Agreed.

Exaclty the reason why 2 div would make the sfl the same as gsfl. The results ive read in the paper this year, everyone is beating everyone in the top 8 in the sfl. Its hard to predict a winner. Thats how it should be.

Well at least on that basis, this year's finals series should be a cracker. Brighton will be back on top of the ladder after this week vs Hackham and with a handy percentage booster and Valley having the bye. God I wish I couldn't guarantee this week's result and that's the sort of comp we all want longer term.

At least the following week will see Brighton play Valley on Friday under lights. Looking forward to that one.

Certainly agree re Trev. By the looks of the side the RMFL put on the park it would have been an interesting game. The punters in the RMFL said it was the best team they've put up for years. Certainly A LOT more noticeable names in their side.

My mail says that there probably won't be an N.Eagleton this year at Happy Valley. Next year may be a very different story though. Did also notice that the clearance is still pending, therefore not approved at this stage.

Hope he does, will be a good test for the boys and bring some extra cash through the gate. Totally support having a former junior return to their club and play and will also be great to see the brothers playing together. If they can lure Damien from Walkerville next year, would be great to see some Eagleton to Eagleton to Eagleton to Eagleton action in the SFL.

You've got no idea you idiot! I can't speak on behalf of Norsworthy but Johnstone has stuffed his quad and hasn't played for over a month, and Rivers did his Hamstring the game prior to the association game. Was chirping at the bit too to play.

So get your facts right before you make comments like that. And for your information, not all players at brighton get spray tans and their hair dyed with peroxide! I beleive one of their players former/current was voted the 'whitest' player in the SFL for 6 years straight!
