Also heard that Backwell dished out a cheap shot against a Cove player that was seen by everyone except the umpire. I hear that Cove are very upset and will lodge a report with evidence from many witnesses.

If MVP have breached the points system, then most would expect the SFL to impose the same penalty the SAAAFLF imposed, ie take the full seasons points away.

This will be a real test of the SFL.

Great win by the Roos, Billy would have been pleased. To the Cove people We sang the song on the oval with the supporters For Billy. We didn't want to seem cocky so sorry if we affended anyone.
Sorry but definatly no breach in points. Trev 4, Backwell 4, Talbot 3, Maynard 3, Schneider 2, Benny Mac 2, Rads 1, and E White -1 =18 points.
About the Cheap shots I wouldn't be saying to much when you had 3 of your players jumping on him on the ground. I hope the bloke who broke his nose on his team mates head is ok. Definatly got more than he gave out and I can't recall any incidents that would warrant a report. Would be an absolute Joke if Cove lodged something.

Trev 4 + Backwell 4 + Talbot 3 + Maynard 3 + Schneider 2 + Benny Mac 2 + Rads 1 + E White 1 = 20 Points
So If you were only allowed 18 pts .....my calculations are you are over your allocation[/quote]

Actually, it's your reading skills which are suspect
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Are you people serious read the posts before you carry on like fools. E.White is minus 1 point so 19 points take 1 point is 18 points which is Morphies allocated points. So there is no issue the people that get on here and whinge are an embarrassment to your clubs. Just accept that Morphies won fair and square. Dont knock them for getting good players to the club and making the competition much more competitive. It is a good thing for the league and will attract other good players to our league

Think you will find it is 18 they are claiming a minus point for 16 year old lad who has not played in the last month.. Great to to see Morphie Parks using the extra alloted points to bring on Junior talent??

Before people state the obvious, yes this is my first post, however, I find it necessary to finally join in on some of the absolute rubbish I read on here.

The maths skills of the hard working people at Morphettville are fine and on the weekend they played within the points limit that was approved by the league 18 months ago. So give up on complaining about that.

vics01, I would not question that effort you do or do not put in for your club (I have not idea who you are and do not really care), however, you need to get out of the bubble you live in and start praising clubs for improving rather then continually putting clubs and the league down on this forum. All you do is complain about the one sided games and unevenness of the competition, then when a club like Morphettville (who were in that category 12 months ago) actually improve, and work very hard to bring better footballers to 'your' competition, you bag them for that.

If bringing players such as Cranston and Backwell into our football club is a bad thing then I must be from a different planet! You could have attempted to recruit both these players, but didn't. Your choice.

As for bringing on junior talent, yesterday the club played 12 players 22 or under (and had 3 out injured from that category that have played most of the year), including 2 that were 19, 2 that were 18 and 17 year old and a 16 year old. So your gesture about young talent is again unfounded as with most of your remarks. I would suggest that this matched up to the age of your squad from yesterday.

There has been a lot of people around the club that have gone through a few rough years with results and through hard work (and yes, recruiting some quality footballers) we now believe we are competitive and warrant our spot towards the top of the ladder.

So unless I am wrong you finally have a more competitive competition, just unlucky for you the results will not always go your way now!

Read the post properly it was explaining that they have 1 minus point and congratulating them on bringing a junior through.

Even though I'm not a bushpig supporter I would tend to agree with bringing these good players to the sfl, its great for the competition. There are a lot of jealous one eyed supporters on this site who struggle to understand anything outside there own team. Stop looking straight in front of you and look at the bigger picture.

I can read properly, maybe your grammar is in question, because putting two questions marks after a remark like that would refer to the fact that you are being sarcastic, otherwise your would not have raised the fact about him not playing over the last month....... reason for that, he has been out of the country on holidays.

C'mon deep heat, nothing like a good ol whinge. U should know that. Haven't been on here for a while, but surprised how defensive the MVP people are. Yes, u did completely out play cove yesterday and congrats on a great way to send off one of your club stalwarts. Other clubs are jealous and frustrated at your points allocation etc. But that was the SFL's decision so life goes on. While these players are great additions to our league, everyone is wondering if you can keep them around for next year. If not, you would be hoping for nothing less than a grand final appearance, otherwise the extra points would seem a wasted opportunity to rebuild your club. I hope for MVP sakes that they can hold on to them. So get used to people having an opinion, after all, it is a big gamble and this is a public forum.

I am certain that MVP have checked and triple checked the points before allowing Backwell to play - and if they havent and are ever found to be over then they deserve to have the book thrown at them. However I am sure this was carefully assessed before he signed.

As for the weekends game lets hope that was a one off because as much as we loved the scoreline the competition needs a strong wineflies

just browsing the results from the weekend, i notice Noarlunga did actually forfeit the C Grade again on the weekend, would this be the end for them now? how many chances do you get. It was against Aldinga, would i be right in saying this was Aldingas first win for the club this year? They would have got there and celebrated like it was a grand final! Unless of course it was called off before Sunday...

They pulled their C grade from the comp in the last week of June after having played all teams once. Sportingpulse will just show them forfeiting for the rest of the season though

Didn't see the incident myself, so cannot comment on the action itself. Safe to say though, the tribunal would not have been happy last night with a number of issues arising from sub junior games and more to be heard tonight. Not a good night to have to appear.

What happened in the sub juniors and were parents involved?

Many and varied. From umpire abuse to player incidents. Not good for a sub-junior competition, a lot of the issues again from parents who can't shut their mouths.

You do hear some funny things, so far this year Ive heard a coach offer $10 to the first goal kicked and another yelling out "bury them" after they kicked a goal in the last quarter.
