With 2 rounds to go anyone willing to pick the top 8 yet? Is it possible we will see a final series without the wineflies or emus?

It will be a shame but maybe the rigged draw and rigged points system will have more to do with the 8 rather than a true playing field

No doubting the rigged draw but are Morphy Pks the only team with extra player points or are there more??

Set up for a mouthwatering clash in round 20 between traditional rivals Emu's and Flie's for possibly the last spot in the 8. Flaggy's in massive danger of missing finals with 2 tough games to come.

Happy Valley to serve a depleted Edwardstown by an Aldinga type margin............

Hope the Townies put up a fight - its ladies day tomorrow and we want to keep them entertained

Brighton will thump emus and MVP will beat Flaggies in a tight contest

Now do you realise just how good the Vikings are?

Maybe it has more to do with Brighton copping an embarrased emus who set out to make up for the previous weeks dissappointment.
We beat Brighton by a single point in a game that could have gone either way - No Nathan at that point but should we meet them in a final it will be a tough contest and would make a great GF - but lets "take it one game at a time"

Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

At least the juniors might have 10 teams. Aldinga, Hackham, 4 x Valley, 4 x Brighton.

Really close comp this season, 7 competitive teams out of 9. Sadly only a top 4 so we are out of it now.

Can't see Brighton leaving. Why would they? They've got next year's flag sewn up - if anyone likes to give me odds on that I'm game to put $100 on it - and they're powerful in the league in their own right.

Marion - who knows. I don't think the SFL would care if they left, and with their $$$ they'd be able to go wherever they liked. (And yes, they DO have $$$ despite all this rubbish about them being broke, you don't have pokies and bloody club-of-the-year and whatnot if you haven't got the money for it.)

What you fail to realize is that the pokies are part of the Social Club. The football club does not benefit at all from Pokie intake. There are also a significant amount of other sporting clubs that use the Social Club. Last year not 1 player was charged fees, as an incentive to lure players to the football club for it to survive,so the football department had to pay that money from past profits. This year they are, but reduced, once again digging into the savings.
So before you have such tunnel vision, what you have to understand is that the Football club itself has'to fight and scrap for every dollar it can, like most clubs do, with many volunteers busting thier arse week in week out. It is a totally different scenario then to your club, as yours maybe solely as football club, and with comments youve made above, I don't expect you to understand what lengths MFC have to go through to pass decisions threw the Social Club.

I'm curious as to how Brighton has next year's flag sewn up. What about this years? What about Happy Valley, would they have a say in this or will they just hand it over without a fight?

Very peculiar point of view.
