Exactly.
Porties gave us a touch up on the Pastie this year, and our record against them is not good over the past 15 years.
I dont think for a minute anyone at the Pastie is thinking any further than this Saturdays game.

Fair call Observer - will watch with interest the outcome of that game
If one of you could take down Brighton that would be great - I agree with previous posts they are the premiership favourites out on their own now

Got to say I am shocked by the score lines today
Think the big game will be twisters v bombers prelim and premiers probably will be the winner of that game

U must be a pretty perthetic supporter writing off your team that has proven to have had the best form all year.. What u don't think any other team gets injuries?? From my mail i didnt believe that all were that serious anyway? After the wk end results nothing is a certainty I believe cove can and hopefully win beat noarlunga and porties looked the goods and have had it over the roo's this yr so I'm tipping cove and porties to go through to the prelims.

I stll think that Valley are the favourites, although confident that Brighton would be best placed to beat them in a GF. My mail is that all 3 injuries are serious and season ending.

Sorry Barry - dont think I am a "perthetic" supporter - or a pathetic one either

Yes all teams get injuries - cheers for recognising that! Valleys havent had any all season apart from May in round 1 - probably why we finished a couple of games clear on top of the table.

We now have 3 serious ones to key players and I reckon that would affect any clubs chances

For someone that claims Brighton as their team you seem to know alot about Valleys AFC....

I have kids there and have attended a lot of matches with them as they love the Vikings as their local team. I played junior footy at Brighton and still know a number of people there. Have a foot in both camps so to speak.

Agree with the comments about Porties, they were very good yesterday. If they play like that again for the next couple of weeks they could be a dark horse.

Flaggies looked very average though, Porties applied great pressure while Flaggies overused the ball by hand.

Bombers and Shoes was a good game before Brighton took over in the last, had they kicked straighter early, may have won by more although Shoes looked to control large parts of the game. If Porties get past the Twisties it could be an entertaining game. Did the Brighton ruckman get reported for the send off?

Yeah mate 3 injuries - think most teams would be affected by 3 injuries who are walk up starts every week and unlikely to make it back for rest of the final series

Fortunately for Valley, Borowski is back for the prelim and apparently could have played on Saturday if absolutely needed. He would have to be high up in Valleys B and F this year. I believe Grund was BOG for B's on Saturday, so there's a defender ready to go. Will be hard to replace Tonkin though as he can play ruck and back and Valley aren't blessed with a lot of talls. Maybe they could borrow one of the 20 that Morphettville Park seem to have...

Grand finals start this wk with Cove vs Brighton Saturday night at Happy Valley. Should be a great contest as there was only 2 points separating these two teams in the first final. Who's tipping who??

Have heard that Noarlunga have sacked their U18's coach after what he said to his playing group after their loss to Flaggies on Saturday. Rumors are that he threatened to "kick their heads in" if they didn't win the next game. If this is true then it's no wonder they sacked him.

Agree with your comment FF ...From what i've heard The A grade coach took over training and was also calling all the moves on game day ....senior coach was calling all the moves and he was then passing the messages onto the runner

Can you blame the shoes for putting the senior coach in charge?
Good to see they have taken action and outed him. I'm sure the players would have wanted him out aswell if that's the way he carried on!

Gday fellas think you got this all wrong ,firstly he was a good coach ,and coached CBC 18s for 2 seasons making finals both seasons and then left and went to porties coached their 18s and also made finals from bottom the year before and then was offeredthe porties b grade job and also doing the 18s in the same season but he decided to go home to noarlunga where he played for many years prior and coach their 18s he has done well learning quite a bit from the senior coach also a friend of his but unfortunately he got a bit carried away after the game on Saturday and one of his players mouthed of so he game him a mouthful ,but he did not threaten to kick the teams head in . But it does sound entertaining for this forum ,and yes they did sack him this evening nit because he wasn't a good coach but because he over stepped the line which most coaches often do
