Heard Blackwood, Lofty, Mt Barker, Ironbank, Uraidla all thinking of coming - anyone confirm?
:?

First I have heard of any interest from Mount Barker or Uraidla
Would suggest those two clubs would be happy where they are at the moment

I can't see either Mt Barker or Uraidla leaving. Blackwood, Ironbank, Meadows, Kangarilla and for some reason, Echunga, were what I heard.

Yeah, I'd think that was more likely than Echunga.

How did Chad Norsworthy go this year-good lad and can play-I believe Willaston are making a play for him to return next year after failing to lure him back last year.

Any further developments regarding Brighton and Sam Mahoney. This seems to have gone quiet. Assume all is well then, as it should be after 2 GF's in 2 years...

Interesting that a couple of posts I read last night regarding Sam Mahony and Brighton coaching job have been deleted?? There was an advertisement In the paper over the wk end apparently for all coaching positions at Brighton. So it seems like there maybe more going on than what we know..

Brighton Mafia have struck again.

Seems 2 years is about all you get at Brighton regardles off the success. Reminds me of quotes from Donnie Brasco:

Lefty: When they send for you, you go in alive, you come out dead, and it's your best friend that does it.

Seems Donnie Brasco is a must read when you join the Brighton committee:

I dont get down to the club that often anymore, but I would guess (as read on another post within this forum) that a former Bomber coach was interested in coming back.

Seems Nathan and Joel are bringing one of their Mt Lofty mates over to the Vikings next year - plays up forward from what I hear
Also the B grade coach not going on next season due to work commitments but the job is yet to attract any interest - how can that be?

Very interesting that one!
His own reasons i think is he's dissappointed the club didn't sit down with him within 2 weeks after the GF for a chat & then the club advertises for all grades in the sunday mail.
I know clubs use the word constitution very often & i think its when it suits them. Why is it that when the premiership was won in 2011 the so called constitution wasn't brought into the frame & no advertising for new coaches appeared in the papers? Oh maybe winning the flag that year makes everyone happy, we can all celebrate on what a great job Sam did as a coach & what a great job the players did executing the game plan Sam put in place on that day but the following year things don't work out as smoothly, you lose the Grand Final & some people start pointing the finger & look for excuses to why you lose that Grand Final, well someone has too lose & unfortunately for Brighton it was them but it was a great effort by the coaches & playing group to get there in the first place.
Why would you want your current coach go through the whole interview process again when you know exactly what he's all about after only 2 years at the helm?
Maybe they knew Sam wouldn't be happy with that & he'd make there job easier by resigning himself, which apparently he has done.
Very poor i say, i think Sam deserves better than that & surely the playing group do too.

Brighton Powerbrokers (Mafia Chieftans) were openly discussing his future Grand Final day before during and after the game. No wonder he looked pained and hunched over with all the blades he was carrying.

So who is the former Brighton coach?
Will be very interesting to see if the players he brought leave. I don't think they will but Riggers is a close mate of Sam so it is very possible.
It does sound disappointing for Sam but he does have a young family so it may have influenced his decision.
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!
