I could be mate, did come from a good source but personally i don't believe it.
Especially when one of my cousin's has played at the wineflies and kicked 100 goal's in a season a couple of times playing for nothing.

I very highly doubt anyone on this forum would know what he is on. Only 2 people would know for sure - Michael and the Reynella FC rep who is a very close family friend of his. Not even sure if his misses would know the correct amount  Good luck to him, a great bloke to have at any football club. He has been a very highly sought person in recent weeks from country and SANFL clubs and it is credit to some certain people at the Flies that they have him onboard.

What the bloke is on is irrevelant.
Having these types of players come back and play in the SFL can only benefit our league.
People can speculate all they like, but at the end of the day, if Reynella can afford him, and I presume he is a no pointer, then well done to the Winey's.

When Ian Perrie signed to play in the SAAFL division 5 in 2009 there were some ridiculous figures thrown around. In reality he played for the club his former manager was involved for a chance to play in a senior football premiership. Sarge didn't care it was SAAFL division 5 he played to make new friends and the few extra pineapples in his pocket each week probably went towards his physio expenses each week.

I find it crazy that everyone thinks that a player who has earnt his living playing football & probably set himself (& his family) up for life pretty well would be chasing coin.

He may be playing back at his junior club for beans to play with his mates.

Some guys earn an honest living from means other than amateur football.

I think you'll find that was exactly the case with Nathan Eagleton. Purely played to enjoy a year with his 3 brothers and to give something back to his junior club. Nothing to suggest that Doughty wouldn't do the same for Reynella. I hope this is a recurring theme for all clubs as it would be great to see guys giving something back. Was thrilled for Eagleton getting his first premiership, just would have preferred that it was against Reynella!!
