C-grade yesterday Cove got a huge start to kick 7 goals to 1 in the first quarter. After quarter time Christies had massive improvement for the rest of the game, eventually going down by approx 3 goals.
Some good positive signs, nice hard footy and a number of inclusions to come - all looks good for a big round 1 clash against Morphett Vale.

So Sweendog, are you going to fill us in about Luke Curtis? I thought he had been cleared to play for Christies but apparantly not?

HH3 - It sounds like your getting a bit too caught up in your on game mate. I know your the best tagger in the business these days, but tagging one bloke out of the game & losing by 30+ goals is not a positive for the team. Maybe for you, it's a personal positive. focus more on team-orientated stuff and the Hawks will prosper in the coming years. when your getting done by that much, it requires a team effort to stop a midfield. I know the cattle out there is limited, which makes it difficult to move forward collectively and get the job done but individual performances won't help the performance of the team.

Trust me mate, im not caught up in the last game. Thats why im asking about the team we're playing this week. And on focusing on the team i think tagging is a team thing. To tag somebody is pretty much taking yourself out of the game. Personally I had a crap game possession wise. And if everyone does their individual job then that will work towards improvement.

This forum is to talk about football. Im talking about football. Im trying to find out what we are facing considering the Christies Beach of 2009 is supposed to be a lot better than the one from last year. Wouldnt you think that going into a game blind to what you are facing is more detrimental to the team?

Its a hell of a lot better than talking crap about other players or how much they're getting paid or which teams crap or not.

mate i reckon lovey would have been prob close to their best midfeilder on sat but if you want to tag someone out tag their full forward who goes by panda hes gonna kick 20 on you if you dont. he had 6 by half time against us on a very good backman but then had a running smaller player put on him and shut him down. all credit to mason too played well and from what i saw was not even dirty once. very good physical presence for them

Is this Panda guy new to the club Sweendog? There was a Panda that played up at Mypolonga last season, not the same guy is it?

I hope not. So you think a smaller, faster player would be better on him than a big guy?
