BACKLINER
I don't have the time to crunch numbers but from a general look it appears the floggings aren't as bad as previous years (I know Aldinga have M'Parks this week touch wood) but is it possible the points system is working, slowly? Aldinga did retain a fair few players as I'm sure Hackham and OSB did, Happy Valley may be the standout, just putting it out there that maybe things aren't as bad as they have been.

One downside of having the results in straight after games is the young lads check online who's in the best players so when we do presentations from 6.30pm it's no surprise anymore, that's technology though. I used to like not knowing who got in the best players, now they can see before the coach reads them out.

Some clubs have recruited well and within the allocated points. Problem is others are gettting extra points and or playing kids (who it is arguable if they are upto A grade level) to bring the points down at present when these dry up I hope we will still see an improvment. Hawks have a great young list just need a couple of older heads to help painey guide the kids. Points system will eventually be a great evener for competitions.

Results on net can be varied so as to not allow players to keep count on B&F and weekly best.

Not real clear on the points system, but I notice that out of their A Grade squad, Happy Valley has 4 "imports" in Borowski (3rd year player), Petersen-Gray (2nd year), Brown (2nd year) and Ben Gordon (1st year). How many points are allowed and how many would they be carrying, as they also have an under 18 playing in A grade (Pearce). Not suggesting anything by this post other than to understand how it works. Also how would this compare to other clubs in terms of having only 4 players carrying any points?

Tips time:

Brighton vs Morphett Vale- M/Vale by 21
Christies vs Cove - Cove by 18
Hackham vs Reynella- Reynella by 105
Marion vs Edwardstown - Edwardstown by 130
MVP vs Aldinga - Morphie Parks by 180
Lonsdale vs Flagstaff- Flaggies by 50
Port Noarlunga vs Noarlunga - Noarlunga by 36
Happy Valley - BYE

Couple of potentially close games there and room for a few realistic upset opportunities with Porties and Christies

Morphett vale easily account for brighton and porties well and truely over noarlunga, anyone shed any light on how these games played out?

Big game next week between Cove and Porties. Cove will need a win to keep in touch with 8, going to be hard from here to finish much higher given the relative draws that clubs have. Christies it would seem have a slightly easier draw and should remain in the 8 a couple of games ahead.

Seems Cove, Porties and Brighton are already fighting for 8th spot?? No easy draw for any of them. A couple of big upsets will be needed. Flaggies maybe but on current form draw seems a bit hard for them.

In what way?
Not availaible or left?
How will they affect 2013?
Will they be back?
If gone, not relevant to this year

Flaggies have lost their glue that's what their problem is.

Well for most clubs their glue is their junior program. Flaggies seem to do extremely well in this area of the club, but it doesn't seem to translate to senior success. Have never been able to figure out why they can't make it at the A Grade level.

Combination of all 3 LK , definately missed Peachy down back along with Suttons run through the midfield , probably didnt notice the ommission of Golding as much because the drive into the forward line was not as strong as previous weeks , didnt help things any when Tasker was King Hit off the ball @ FF in the opening minutes of the game in a Totally Gutless Act

Any report laid or was it unsighted? Was it really a "king hit" as in hit from behind, no warning and actually KO him? If so, it's disgaraceful that these things still occur despite the fact people know what this can lead to ie: brain injury even fatalities. I hope whoever was responsible is called to account, don't need this sort of crap in footy.

So Player is left concussed on ground for several minutes and even though very unsteady on his feet was hellbent on a square up , King hit where I come from is a cheap deliberate attemp to knock the other fella out , it was all that and more , throw as much water on it as you wish Pantherman I know what I saw 20 metres in front of me m8 ,
@ 9798 no report that I am aware of , and its not the Shoeboy way to cite players from other clubs , the culprit has his coming , just hope I am fortunate enough to witness it when it happens

Venom must be coming out of the fangs at Cove after another loss hey Vics01? Will the coach last the year?

Did Tasker play the rest of the game? If he was concussed & did play the game out then questions should be asked of the medical staff!

Also, a bit rich for The Shoes to worry about king hits when they had Hockley as captain for a few years!

Tasker was deemed fit to continue by the Medicoes @NFC who I might add are respected by all Clubs for thier knowledge and profesionalism , As for Hockley , cant commemt as I was not at the club during his captaincy , so it was a few yrs ago and I think most would agree its not a reputation easily alligned to players @ NFC
