I believe this week is a perfect example why we should have 2 divisions. Wouldn't it be great if we were seeing four sides battle it out for a spot in the top five rather than see who can get the furthest off the bottom of the ladder. Would also help these clubs attract more players. Just my opinion.

Agree however if the Hawks win this week they will be 10th equal 8th ahead of Cove and Flaggies equal with BDOS and Porties on points.
Big improvement by the young Hawks, never know what could happen if they snatch an upset or 2

But atleast we'll see every team earn their finals spot without a compromised draw/fixture. Every team play each other twice home and away as is done in the saafl. I haven't checked but I would assume cove, Brighton and porties have all had tougher draws than hackham. Well done to hackham anyway!!!!

Good to see the sfl implement division two football for this weekend. No 100, 150, 200 point floggings. Only took 12 years to act..... Oh wait......

Brace yourself EV, This week aldinga play edwardstown, Marion play Brighton away, Hackham play morphy parks away and Lonsdale play reynella away. I'm tipping all of these 100+ point margins with atleast two of them 150+ point margins. Joke!

Hawks to 10th tonight wins in 3 out 4 grades today fantastic day for the Hawks. Cliffo has young guys going in right direction, just need a couple of experienced bigger bodies bodies amongst them.

With regard to the above comments below is the break down of who has played and how many games against bottom 4 sides from 2012 in the first 13 games of 2013 and the total at the end of the home and away. At present BDOS and COVE have been the hardest done by with 1 and 2 games respectively until now. Morphett Vale tops out the season with 6 games. Given the Log jam between positions 8 to 12 with
w
Porties 5
BDOS 5
Hawks 5
Cobras 4
Falcons 4

all fighting for the 8th position Bdos and Cove seem to have the better of the staggered draw after the break with Bdos probably in the box seat to grab 8th but all playing each other in must win games.. Although the shoes with games against Valley's/Parks and Flies cannot afford to drop any other game. Saints may have just won enough now to hang in the 8.

With the risk of offending a few dare I say the the current 12 would make for a good comp.

2012 Ladder and 2013 games against bottom 4 from 2012

RD 13 RD 20

HAPPY VALLEY 2012 3 4

NOARLUNGA 2012 3 4

It must be very gratifying to see all of the hard work put into your junior programs finally seeing all of these home-grown youngsters that you have nurtured over so many years finding their way into senior ranks and playing for the love of it and not for money. Good on your hard work with these kids and developing a strong culture at your well respected club.

Not sure too many A Grade sides go out to avenge issues in the mini league....
However, if this occurred it is very poor form from the coach involved.

Well after a sort of week off, it would be nice to think that we would have a very competitive round of games, but there's really only two that look to be potentially close. Emus should eclipse Christies, but the Saints have played well this year so could be a danger game. Cove and Noarlunga could also be a good contest, but suspect Noarlunga should do it reasonably easy.

Aldinga vs Edwardstown - Townies by 150
Brighton vs Marion - Brighton by 100
Cove vs Noarlunga - Noarlunga by 30
Happy Valley vs Flagstaff - Vikings by 80
Morphy Park vs Hackham - Roos by 100
Reynella vs OSB - Wineflies by 150

Yeah, I may as well do my tips now as well. Currently feeling very nihilistic and 'football is pain, life is pain' etc. etc. Seriously, right now I'd be that excited for us to knock off Marion or Lonny, I'd probably do a nude lap of the oval on a bicycle. If I had a bicycle. Which I don't. Some choad stole it ten years ago. Again, life is pain.*

Townies by 25 goals
Brighton by 10 goals
Noarlunga by 16 points
Valley by 20 goals
Twisties by 8 goals
Flies by 100pts
Christies by 5 goals

*Temporary pain, mind you. ;)

Will be wet again this weekend, maybe won't be huge scoring matches as I'd say some ovals aren't in the best condition.

Tag Corrie off the half back to stop his rebound and you will go along way to stopping the Emu's. Bode is going to be hard to stop, especially as according to my calculations they will be without Webb so all you can do is try and wear him down and have the ruck go with him to curb his influence around the ground. Could be an interesting game given it's at Christies.

Correct thinking, but may have tried similar this year and then just been exposed in other areas. Problem with emus is that they actually have a pretty good spread across the team. HOld one down and another pops up. Corrie's engine also outlasts most that try it.

Liams had to deal with that for the last month or more anyway, hoping Christies answer is similar to the Dane Swan (#4) lookalike last week. Christies will be no guaranteed win this week, they've turned the corner, nearly rolled us on our home deck last year and have backed that form up this year with good results, 50/50 for mine this week. Christies have a 30 year reunion planned for the 83 premiership side so they will be banking on a good performance from the 1's. Should be a good day and another huge crowd.

Now that MV are up and about and sitting 2nd on the A grade ladder wonder how many of those that were bagging BC early in the year would like to take it back now? Good to see an ex Viking doing well even if it is for the opposition

Anyway looks like it could be a wet weekend - hope Bushpigs are put off by the rain.
