Head and facial injuries aren't always the result of an assault Harden Up. Putting Saturday aside, you guys need to stop bleating about mass concussions and other head injuries during the season. It is a contact sport remember. We have a guy who has worn a helmet ever since playing E'Town earlier in the season. The E'Town incident was an accident and we accept that but we could have manufactured some story to paint your club in a bad light but why should we when games between our clubs have always been played in the right spirit just like the Elimination Final a couple of weeks back. I don't know if there is some deep seated hatred from a past era that you guys are trying to re-create but I really can't see why you are taking aim at Brighton with false allegations.

If you guys are trying to resurrect your juniors then some of the tripe that E'Town posters are putting on here is painting the SFL in a bad light and will only scare away parents and players. Unfortunately one blokes actions on Saturday are a setback but the SFL has become a very clean league so stop trying to make it sound far worse than it is.

Would rather have our issues than the thuggery and other rubbish happening in the Amateur League, we are not having to kick clubs out or call off grand finals yet.

Interesting that Macka didnt play when we beat Reynella early in the season, was in the best players when we played Emus, was in best best players when Noarlunga beat us by 4 points about a month ago and didnt play when we beat them first time we played them.

What do Noarlunga have to gain out of him being rubbed out?

Cant for the life of me see anything that can be gained by NFC if he gets rubbed out , care to clarify that statement MF ?

So much for grassroots footy being played out in the bush. Some Country Leagues and Clubs are destroying footy in this state right through to the SANFL. Throw in college footy that compromises the availability of players to play SANFL particularly Under 18s, things are a real mess.

If the SANFL and SACFL can't do something about the player drain to country clubs then we may as well give up.

I was a bit dumb to the cycle of money in country footy once but have now realised that good yields for farmers means big money for country footy. So I say - "Bring back the drought."

Bring back the drought is a typically daft statement. School footy and country footy have been competing with metro footy for years, get over it.

If you have a good club culture and environment then you wouldnt lose too many.
Morphett Vale are a good example of this, as much as i hate to say it.

TP, yes MV have been able to keep many due to a great culture over the years, but they could almost name a whole a grade side that has left for bigger dollars over the years. Noone is immune to the dreaded lure of the $$$$$$$$$$. Having said that, a few rumours of some of those big names returning next year.

ADELAIDE will be aligned to the SA Amateur Football League with its Crows reserves team after all.
If an amateur league player represents the Crows in the SANFL league competition he can earn up to $400 a game.

You clearly have no idea with what's happening in rural country footy. Farms are being bought out by big business or overseas companies & turning 3 or 4 "family farms" into 1. This has a major impact on town populations with some leagues, not clubs, looking at where they'll be in the next few years. Look at the Mallee & Western border leagues for example. Some country clubs have no option but to pay huge coin to keep their clubs alive. I know it's not jetty road but have you ever been to Lucindale or Kaniver?
Also I know you guys paid a certain footballer $350 a game last year so I'd say that's very good coin to travel 10 minutes down the road...

Sincerest apologies to Noarlunga posters had a brain fade and forgotten you had lost on the weekend don't mean that to sound insulting that is just how high I rate your A grade team. Was absorbed in work all day Sunday and dIdnt get to your game

What can I say it has been a big week in footy as well as work pressures - bring on the weekend and here's hoping we have 2 great games that makes us want to talk about nothing but the footy next week.

My tips emus by 10 and Valleys by 3 - sets up BC versus is home club in a GF

It's quite possible that with the amount of the crap happening in all leagues, both senior and juniors recently, some parents might see it as a positive and the more public incidents become the less likely they are to continue?

DTH: Im only talking about the last two games EFC played, period. Perhaps you've had 1 too many knocks to the head yourself, otherwise you would understand the matter at hand - Two assaults in two weeks, both behind play but at least the SFL made the 'effort' of having furterh officials at last weeks game........Further to your point about juniors at EFC, after last two weeks, why would you refer anyone to play in the SFL
