How good is it to have footy back? Finally something to do on a Saturday arvo.

Porties Vs Shoes - This should be a good game as it always is and on the friday night under lights will also be a good spectacle. Shoes by 36 for me

Christies Vs Brighton - I know most are tipping Christies but this is an easy one for me. Brighton will win this one by about 5 goals

Townies Vs Hackham - Another easy one. Townies easily here approx 12 goals

Flaggies Vs Happy Valley - Tight one here but my tip is for Flaggies to be big Movers this year and will start well this weekend. Flaggies 3 goals

Marion Vs Aldinga - Marion by 4 goals. I do think Aldinga will get better and better this year and have a good 2nd have of the season

Morphy Park Vs Lonsdale - Ross against his old club he will be pumped but Twisties by 7 goals

Reynella Vs Cove - Should be a comfortable win by Reynella. Flies by 60point

My early tip at the ladder too:

Noarlunga
Reynella
Morphett Vale
Flagstaff Hill
Port Noarlunga
Brighton
Happy Valley
Morphy Park
Christies
Townies
Cove
Marion
Aldinga
Hackham
Lonsdale

Edwardstown 50pts
Flaggies 22pts
Aldinga 12pts
Morphy Parks 150pts. Will do it for Ross
Reynella 62pts

Not sure what other messenger press coverage of the season start has been like, but the guardian that covers clubs down the hill has been nothing but ordinary. They couldn't even put the clubs ins and outs or even a comment from club coaches. If this is how they cover the start of the season we might get one or two lines by the end of year. Bring back Gordon Armstong, at least he gave the SFL some sort of support.

GA was great. I saw him over the summer and it looked like he's enjoying his well earned retirement

Past midnight and still unable to enter teams.

The whole self registration process has been an unmitigated disaster. Concept is fine but make sure the infrastructure is capable of the additional traffic.

The first ever live broadcast of an SFL home & away game can be heard on TribeFM 91.1. Every week an SFL game will be featured and the very first one is Flagstaff Hill v Happy Valley. Every week there'll also be a preview of the weekend's games from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on Friday evening plus match day interviews and previews from 1.00pm...then the broadcast from 2.30pm.

So most tipsters backing Flaggies - reckon this is the game of the round

Has too much been made of HV outs and FH ins? I reckon there has.

HV side will look very different to last year and whilst it may take a few games to settle I reckon we will continue our unbeaten streak against Flaggies.

My tips:
Shoes
Bombers
Towns
Vikings
Sharks
Roos
Wineflies

Anyone that can tip margins in round 1 is a legend

Bring on the footy
:supz: =D> :D

Noarlunga to win tonight. Stopping n. Mott will go a long way to winning the match. Luckily pt have a few defensive options for the job. First and foremost Tom Allen fresh off of a pre season and a few matches at the panthers. Will be a scintillating contest as Mott has also been at the Crows for pre season. Few good ins for both sides. Noarlunga the favourite to win however the mid week loss of premiership player Lachy Sutton to a back muscle strain is an out that will please the cockledivers as Sutton usually plays well in these rivalry matches and has been a consistent performer since his senior debut in 2011, finishing in the bnf top 10 for the club in each year. Perfect weather. Footys back

Bombers by 30 pts over Christies - If Christies can't beat the Bombers then more $$ wasted at Bice Oval as they can't challenge the top 4
Towns by 45 pts over Hawks - couple of handy midfielders in for towns will push for finals
Falcons by 30 pts over Vikings - Falcons on the up and Vikings will be questioning there decisions??
Rams by 20 pts over Sharks - Ram recruit$ will show there worth
Roos by 100 pts over Lions - Roos a class above
Wineflies by 120 pts over Cobras - Wineflies in cruise mode

Great Night under lights @ Porties with Shoeys getting up by 24 pts in a well contested game , not sure the exact crowd numbers but was well supported , heard South Adelaide were not happy about the scheduling of the game in opposition to the South v Port game @ Hickinbotham
