Saturday 10/9/16
Preliminary 1 (Winner QF1 v Winner SF2) - Port Noarlunga

Sunday 11/9/16
Preliminary 2 (Winner QF2 v Winner SF1) - Noarlunga

Saturday 17/9/16
Grand Final - South Adelaide

Qualifying 1 and 2 may be swapped to avoid A grade teams having home finals. Same with Elimination 1 and 2.

There will be no night finals during the Saturday grade finals[/quote]

My mail has this occurred due to complaint from Flaggies finishing minor premier last year playing the Shoes at the Shoe and getting belted by 10 !! That game could of been played on the moon and the same result would of occurred .

The SFL have made a dogs breakfast , for example do we implement the same with the Sunday comp with Flaggies ,H Valley hosting finals?
I have said before "if your good enough you can play anywhere" Or is this a sign of a soft underbelly!! :-?

Tend to agree Shoe Boy. No SFL ground is unfamiliar to the majority of players at the clubs that tend to make finals noting that those clubs tend to be full of lads who have come through the juniors and have played many games at most SFL ovals. Should South Adelaide's only 3 SANFL premierships have an asterisk because they won them on their home ground!!!

But what happens if Porties or Noarlunga make the Prelims as the Away team on their home decks. The SFL has indicated that it wouldn't be fair to ask clubs to change the day of the weekend that they host a final due to the planning and volunteer requirements around hosting a full day of finals but neither would it be fair to ask a club that has won through to the Saturday Prelim as the home team to then be told you are playing on the Sunday. A lack of lateral thinking there!!!

According to Shoe Boy it doesn't matter so I can only assume Noarlunga would volunteer to play it at Porties

Any truth that if Brighton decide to go the SFL would remove ALL sides from the final series ? ^#(^

You guys being mischievous again. Regardless of what happens I think the next few years in SA footy from SANFL down to community and junior footy will see significant changes. Obviously some of that has begun with the SANFL Juniors but I reckon that's only a small part of what will go down in the next 3 or 4 years.

I would be making that statement regardless. SANFL Juniors will grow assuming all or some of the NEMJFA clubs make the move and there are already 3 SFL clubs and one HFL club (Blackwood) fielding teams in the SANFL Juniors. Despite popular opinion, the SANFL Juniors is completely independent of the SAAFL and it appears they will accept teams from any club in the metropolitan area regardless of that clubs Saturday football affiliation.

But I wouldn't be surprised that the SAAFL re-visit North and South divisions below the top 1 or 2 divisions in the next 2 or 3 years. Such a proposal could change the mindset of a few metropolitan clubs in the non-SAAFL leagues.

Round 14:

Sharks over Hawks @ Dingy 1-39
Hood Snakes over Lions @ Cove 1-39
Tigers over Shoes @ Flagstaff 1-39
Emus over Rams @ Morphett Vale 100+
Twisties over Bombers @ Morphettville 1-39
Divers over Vikings @ Porties 1-39
Wineys over Sinners @ Reynella 1-39

Has the Blackwood to SFL rumour started yet this year?

So Brighton, Morphy Parks and Towns most likely all gone within 12 months....

Serious question. Are clubs planning on protesting changes to SFL house at years end? Losing 20% of your clubs in 12 months and had the serious potential to be 30%. Had realistically 6-7 years to fix the situation up but haven't changed a thing. Even if they made it a 9/6 split when Towns came in at least it gave all clubs a realistic hope of success. Professional AFL clubs were having a tough time when it was 1 league with 16 teams, what were the SFL thinking when making a 15 team comp as 1 division at suburban level?

LK - The SFL isn't run like a lot of Associations where the Clubs have the majority say of what goes on, all of the board have voting rights and will carry or knock back any motion they want basically, there have been sub committees I think they call them Future Direction or something similar in the past but anything they have suggested has been knocked back anyway, I think by Clubs leaving you would hope that the Powers To Be might start listening and have some type of future plan or the SFL will have 5 to 10 years left at the Max. The sad thing is once you get to Finals the brand of Footy throughout the Grades is a really good standard but Clubs like Brighton leaving will start a Domino affect. The Southern Cricket started the same way with Reynella and Cove going to Town Leagues and eventually folding.

All it will take is for one more of the bigger clubs further South to leave and it will get ugly real quick one would think. Unfortunately it looks too late to go to 2 divisions now unless urgent meetings take place and stop the 2 clubs from leaving. Even an 8/6 split would be far better than what you have now but you cant imagine a club like Happy Valley would be very happy being sent to div 2 with a top 4 system in place in both divisions.

1 division was a failure in year 1 circa 2001. They had 15 years to fix up the mess they created
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Why don't the larger clubs take things into there own hands and create a breakaway 10 Club Competition. Would fix the problems.

The SFL don't own the clubs or ground. Could be set up and in place by next season.
