There was a player from Port Noarlunga in the 90s who was a ruckman/ chf who won one - cant remember his name (it will come to me) but he is the only "non" onballer type that I can remember.

There has been some winners in the last 10 years that I dont rate too highly though may be its the ability to play well against easier teams that gives you the votes that some players wouldnt get in a tougher competetion week in week out.
i think it was big jesus look a like dobbins pretty sure he won a mail medal as a ruckman

I would be pretty disappointed if a Lonsdale player won the medal over players like Vick, Johnstone, Mckenzie, Bayly Brothers.

My money is on Vick.
Bayly boys will steal votes off each other and one wears 3 the other 13!!

I know he is a proven performer but Vick wouldn't have made Lonsdales top 10 players on Saturday he had about 5 touches when tagged by a b grader, kicked a goal when that bloke had a rest. Were you disappointed last year when Bachmann won it, his team doesn't even play finals. I didn't know it was a medal for the top 4 teams only.

Yes i was disappointed when Bachmann won it, he played so well against weaker teams and polled votes in those games. did sweet f* all or didnt even play against the top teams. Vick has one bad game, I have watched him tear up games and tends to get alot of the ball.
Lonsdale still lost that game didnt they? You would hope that most votes would go to the winning team? maybe throw one vote at the losing team's best player, that wont win you a medal.
Yes it is a league medal but have the top 4 teams won more games? Yes. Should they get more of the votes? Yes.

If Vick played at Lonsdale he would be their best player by a streak.

Get a grip Swooper, Dobbins has never won anything...

The guys name is Keith Allan, they recruited him from Goolwa i think and reportedly paid big dollars, from memory was only there for maybe 2-3 years at the most and it was also toward the end of his career, could certainly play the game...

Somehow I doubt they all see you as a mate! Well i'm not even sure the coach gets a premiership medal but I know a team manager or assistant wouldn't if you wanna be picky mexican

just noticed S.presscott best again for Reynella. he'd have to be one of the favourites - and he's won it before.

he's my tip.

Thats a pretty stupid comment to make im sure any of the top 10 teams have players good enough to win the medal. Lonsdales best player is as good as any other we just dont have as many as the top teams. Rusty Curyer should poll very well gets plenty of possies every week and plays well no matter the opposition.

Morphies very good even team who will pull votes off each other so i reckon the winner will more than likely come from cove, reynella, brighton or valley who seem to have more big name players but dont discount a player from porties marion lonsdale or christies winning it. They have all won more than their fair share of games.

I'll go for a top 5 in no particular order of:
Johnstone - Brighton
Bachmann - Christies
Curyer - OSB/Lons
Prescott - Reynella
Reavill - Cove
would have gone manhood from porties but he was suspended
O’Sullivan Beach F.C Est. 1975
Lonsdale F.C Est. 1977
O’Sullivan Beach/Lonsdale F.C Est. 2001
Premierships
A-Grade ~ 5
Reserves ~ 5
Juniors ~ 17
