With an election looming the government aren't giving out many details of what is going to happen to Morphett Vale High School. At this stage it's a a bit of a wait and see as to what happens to the school and the ovals.

A potential alternative has been identified, but obviously if they can they'd prefer to stay where they are.[/quote]

They may prefer, but i would imagine i would be speaking for the majority of the palyers in the SFL, in that it is without doubt the worst ground to play at, everything about it makes for a tough day to get yourself up.

disgrace to the SFL that oval. theres only one other oval that bad and thats Morphett Vale. But atleast M.V has its own atmosphere etc.

Londsdale play at a high school, terrible - sullies is a kick ass ground.

I think the reference was to the actual oval not whether or not you enjoyed playing there managing to get your arse handed over the bar when you lose bets to the old boys!

Lonsdale is ordinary!

Doesnt have parking around 3/4 of the oval and doesnt/didnt hold the water well at all.
Changerooms were in the high school and just an ordinary facility in general.

Is the option of going back to sullies viable? Is it an option with the soccer there?
Used to love the bongos on the hill at sullies, was just something very different that was good fun to play in front of.

Sorry Flyer obviously you aren't involved in the group that make bets before even qualifying for the game in question! Still I'd rather a shit oval with a great club and atmosphere than play at Reynella!

I'll take a siesta when i'm good and ready thanks, besides that's usually from 12 till 1 anyway...

What i said was you embarrassed yourselves to the state... What i mean by this is that i was talking to a mate who plays in the Eyre Penninsula league and he quizzed me over it last weekend at a party we were at, said that it was a bit of a talking point over there between a few clubs, needless to say i didn't have anything complimentary to say...

Further to this, thought it would be interesting for people to rate their top SFL grounds, taking in account facilities, playing surface, oval size etc….

Heres mine.

Aldinga – Plenty of potential with this oval and club
Brighton – top oval, cars, grand stand, good club rooms etc
Noarlunga - good with minimal wind
Happy Valley - when the surface is good (been crap last couple of seasons)
Pt Noarlunga - needs updated facilities
Reynella – plenty of sloped car spaces, good standing room and club.
Christies – great size and surface.
Hackham – was good in the day, when the crowds were there
Marion – good facilities upstairs with a view – main positive
Cove – no good, no cars, too small.
Flagstaff Hill – it’s improved…… limited car room
Morphett Vale, too small, bad surface.
Morphy Parks – it’s a park?
Londsdale – It’s a school

Probably forgot someone?
