Hoorah/Hoorah/Hoorah. As you are next door to Brighton, aren't the other clubs also next to Brighton?? Paupers just read back over your posts. If I remember correctly there was an incident with Cove B grade and 1 other with another club whose name escapes me at present (But that is not what this post is about) Well as the grade structure within the SFL isn't going to change I gather my mail is close to the mark to quote you "or playing in a different league we will try it." Where have you handed the kids to?? Maybe you should look at playing year 7 in the u14 to raise a team. By having 13/14/15/16 etc is not going to solve the problem you will still only have 1/2 a team each year. DUAL TEAMS play Sunday and so far it has worked pretty well it has got better each year. maybe you approach SORBENT to be your major sponsor.[/quote]

Next door to brighton, before we were down the road, next time you will have us sharing your oval. Last time I looked we were a lot closer to Phos, Plympton and Edwardstown. Maybe you can start a new thread on clubs that get bad press I'm sure we could get a few pages out of that. To keep it simple for you we have had a 6/7 team with a handfull of 13 year olds and the rest of the kids 12 and under, those kids that are 12 and under that don't have the size or skill to step up and play 14s can go and play under 13 the next year and then the following year can play 14s then 15s then 16 and so on. That is something the metro sth can help us with.
I'm not sure yet if you are a SFL board lover or a closet Brighton supporter or maybe both. Your mail as I said before is still going to the wrong address or I think Real McCoy put it better PO BOX NFI. Your quote "Morphies threw the gauntlet down to the SFL give us what we want or we will take our kids to the metro sth" sorry has not happened, we have been speaking to the league since november last year and we are still talking. Yes we did put forward a proposal that was similar to the metro sth and from what I got told was going to get voted on this monday and had the support from the board, but that has been taken off of the agenda. I don't know what your inside info is about Monday nights meeting, maybe you would like to share it with us? Another miss guided comment was that we had not committed to play at all this season. Like every other club at this time of the year we have told the SFL what grades we are trying to get going 2/3s, 4/5s, 6/7s and sunday u14's just for your info.
The players we lost over the past few years have gone to Plympton, Marion, Phos and I think a few even went and played with that successful family club that dosn't get bad press and is down the road, next door and sometimes share an oval with us aka brighton. Would it upset you that much if we did move our junior teams to metro sth? How is it going to affect you and your club? I'm pretty sure your club played its juniors in one league and your seniors in another or don't you remember that far back. Still not sure when we promoted our club as paupers, but one way we will promote ourselves is that we are nothing like Brighton football club and never want to be. Hope I didn't leave anything out, over to you Marley and why don't you whisper in your boyfriends ear vics01 and see if he has any more comments or inside info. Thats where SORBENT might come in handy cleaning up the wet spot you 2 make

Tomorrow night at the Shoe from 7 pm Noarlunga 16 V Cove 16.

This is a catch up game in the Sun second sides.
This game was to be played last Thursday night but Cove coach said he had players out at association training???

Sometimes you are a T---er.

More that the game was to be Wednesday but the Shoes wanted Thursday. The Association kids were not the reason it was Shoes not wanting Wednesday after it had been arranged.

Does this mean that all teams will have to make catch up games in the Sunday Comp
loooking at the draw it seems all teams have equal byes if this is a catch up it will leave Cove and Noarlunga will have a extra game on the ladder
please enlighten why a catch up game is required :?

PATROL

Noarlunga and Cove both have 3 byes programmed, everybody else has 2 programmed. Round 7 on the fixture refers to the game Wed night and no other games.

Go figure how the SFL work that out.

Reynella's Sunday Under-14's have only won one game, and their Premiership Points are 6

Go figure how the SFL work that one out

Prem Tables are a mess with extra points all over the place. And I'm expected to print them every week

Reynella,Cove,BDOS Sunday under 14 were each awarded points for bye which occurred prior to Flag Staff Hill Sunday u14 entering the competition in Round 5, Reynella had had 2 byes so were given 4 points with Cove and BDOS given 2 points for a bye.
I believe it was deemed not possible to get all these teams to play catch up rounds with such late notice.
The under 16 catch up was advised prior to the season starting.

Also the other catch-up match for the Saturday Under-16 at Happy Valley ?
Neither are on the website.

Understand from a number of 3rd parties that a number of parents from both Happy Valley and Cove Sunday u14 teams were disgusted with the behaviour of the Happy Valley Saturday (Head Coach) individual verbal attacks on a couple of Cove players this afternoon. They suggest that it was totally uncalled for. Understand he was yelling from the coaches box that they were useless/hopless totally out of their class amongst other things. All this while his team was 20 goals up. Can anyone who was there confirm what was said? Couple of plyers upset about being abused called a F--- you. Your'e a dickhead etc by the runner as well.

If true not a very good example to junior players.

Re under 14's last Sunday,

I am a Cove parent and I was at the game last Sunday. Let me inform you myself along with 2 other parents found the Happy Valley head coach very respectful towards his players and our players. And for us to say he was abusive toward our players is over exaggerated. We as a club must look in our own backyard as we had a certain player who was not playing in the spirit of the game. Yes we were beaten by 20 goals plus, but me as a parent certainly didn't hear any abuse from the Happy Valley coach or the runner. As we were situated between the 2 coach's box's. So come on Cobras lets not whinge and return some venom on the football field next time. And play the game in the true spirit it should be played. From an avid Cobra supporter of all grades.

Cove parent who supports Christies Beach??
Between the coaches boxes was the interchange, one of whom son was abused, so I doubt you are he. I imagine you are same person who rang the Cove president at 10.15 pm last Monday night but refused to give your name. Feel free to call a club official and get it off your chest, maybe one of the u14 coaches, you could identify yourself, because they are very concerned about having a player who is not playing in the spirit of the game and they do not which player you are referring to. . As a club we would like to remedy this problem.

I think Venom Spitter is a bit strong a name for you. It would appear that you well into self gratification and as a such I imagine you would be more a dribbler than a spitter. I think maybe you need to shave the hair from the palm of your hands.

In response to your comments, I don't have the Cove presidents telephone number. Maybe I will chat to him during the week as we certainly now know who you are. Please don't let this upset you as the coach has already rectified some of these on-field discretion's, but I would like to ask what grade you went to school as some of your comments hardly make any sense. The question I ask myself is perhaps you're a little illiterate? No further comment will be made by myself until the end of the season. So lets just get on with it and play football. And I certainly do not have hair on my palms, but have noticed your losing a bit on top. No need for anymore comments.
