I'm not a boy but here's my two cents anyway: Best coaches - Darren Twigden/Darrin Spinks (Valley), Peter Meuret (Morphettville Park). As for Aldinga, I wasn't impressed at the beginning of the year but I've ended up rethinking my opinions. These last couple of months I think Shane Lynch has been making a decent effort and the Sharks are showing promise. Be interesting to see what happens next year.

(By the way, I heard he was offered $15K to coach Christies for 3 years but turned them down on the grounds that they refused to supply him with his own fishing rod. Jeez, Christies, you really buggered that one up!)

Hey shoe boy, coming from some one who was standing right there when the scuffle started, the Noarlunga runner pushed the ump first.
Yes the bump was high, but with a shoulder not elbow.
I think Noarlunga need to be grateful that no reports were laid, other wise i think there would be a couple of Noarlunga boys watching for a while.
What happen with your number 11 ?, he was sent off for the game.

And thank you to the Noarlunga player who came in to our change rooms and apoligised for what happen.

Thank's Mccoy,I was asked what happened and I think I rapped it up fairly accuratly.(shoulder not elbow/he pushed first) abit of he said she said,as I said calm heads prevailed and I hope the good relationship that both clubs have will continue.
Also good luck tommorow and I hope you boys get a taste of finals footy.

Maybe the SFL should have a look at getting serious and only having a top 5 or maybe 6. Surely no one can expect Flaggie/Morphie park/christies/Marion to beat anybody in the top 6. The gap between the top half and the bottom surely has to be embarrassing to the SFL when scores are entered in the Sunday mail. It will be 15 goals plus not a good look for finals or good advertisment for teams from other comps to want to come to the SFL.

RUMOURS

Plenty of talk on here about Reynella and issues with the coach. I hear all is not well in the EMU camp. The players don't listen to the coach anymore they run their own show Senior group control what happens not the coach.

Cove: Have a culture problem and SOME don't want to put in the hard work at the business end of the season, just turn up not put in the hard yards on the track, could be costly in the next few weeks.

Valleys: Dissension over who gets paid what.

Bombers: Few issues in the juniors some teams are actually two teams in one. Like a disease will eventually spread.

Porties: Have injuries

Hey vics01, didn't morphie parks beat reynella earlier this year and at thier home ground no less. This group finished second to bottom last year and are now challenging for a finals spot. How about some recognition for those clubs that are improving each year and not try and take away what they are trying to achieve.

Surely 2 divisions is a better answer if you are only going to play top 6 in finals. With a bye in the season. (which is great for those broken bodies)

every club has issues as well thats all your basically saying there! Whats new?

TBP: Yes they did beat Reynella. The point I make is that a final 8 lets them into a final only to get belted. A final 8 rewards mediocre football. Where as a final 5 or 6 rewards the teams that have performed consistently. Anyone under 6th will probably make the 8 only winning half their games and nearly all of them are aginst the bottom 6 clubs. Yes they have improved but maybe it is due to the rigged draw the SFL have implemented. Where would they be if they had fronted some or all of the the top 6 twice??

HILLS

Two divsions?? The SFL are not that forward thinking.

Hey Dutchman, coaches who play the kids and not cost the club a bucket load of cash. The reason i put Dave Evans on there is because whether he can coach or not i dont know but the guy put his hand up for it and with all the rumours coming out of there and the shit he has copped i think its a fair effort to stick it out.Obviously success comes into it as well and most of those i named have had success either playing or coaching. There are others in our league who are good coaches but these are the ones i rate the highest so its only my opinion.I guess you could chuck Anderson i there but have never heard him speak to his players and his finals record is a bit of the mark.Meekins i just dont rate.Dont know Marions coach.Dont know Lonsdales coach.Dont know Hackhams coach.

Just a Question, whats wrong with having 2 divisions of 7 teams each?? Have top 4 in each and play 21 rounds with each team having 3 byes through the year and each team playing each other 3 times?? Get rid of the June long weekend bye as teams will have 3 byes anyway and have the wooden spooners go down and the premiers go up. Play the Div 1 finals on saturday and Div 2 on Sunday so the crowds are not down. Just a thought...........
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
