A very convincing win by Aldinga yesterday! (Though I notice the Sunday Mail says Lonsdale won.) Bloody slippery oval but - cost each side a few 50m penalties! Russell Hart played a great game. Not all good news though with Tom Manning's broken leg - bloody awful thing to happen. Hope he's recovering OK and can play again next year.

By the way, who's the number 10 for Lonsdale? I've never seen anyone so pumped for a game of football! What a tripper.

Valley v Brighton - Most underrated team of the year. I reckon the Vikings will be a serious premiership contender.[/quote]

On yesterdays performance maybe its fair to say that the Bombers are the most underrated side and a serious premiership contender!!! In 3 weeks the Bombers have knocked off (rather convincingly) the top 3 sides.....

Todd Johnstone is just about untouchable at the minute......although a muddy oval he gave his oponent such a bath that the poor lad would not have required a shower after the game!!!!

Ian Cox a master coach.....Bombers should have 03 and 04 if not for injuries....FACT!!!! But should have is a far cry from did and all props to M/Vale for their achievements.....but Coxy was brilliant from 02 to 04....

No.10 would be Liam Harris. One of the major forces for their reaching finals footy in the previous three years. If my memory serves me right, he polled pretty well in last year's medal.

I thought that cove were really good on sat. They done to m/vale what all the good sides in all comps seem to do and thats get off to a really good start .I rekn they were leading by about 5-6 goals early in the game and they seemed to kick there goals alot easier than what m/vale did.M/vale definately hit back but they cant give a quality side that kind of headstart,as cove also done this to m/vale earlier in the year.Vick is a fantastic player but can sum1 tell me why this bloke is not getting tagged week in week out,he just finds too much of the ball to be able to let run free.I believe cove are now doing to sides what m/vale of years gone by use to do.Its gona take a good side on the day to knock of the cobras.

heard the umpiring was atrocious. something like 47-12 free kicks cove's way! 17 frees to 1 in the 1st quarter! No wonder they were leading by 6 goals early on.

I agree Cyclops, Cove look the goods more so than any other year but take away their good start and Emus hit back hard.If we can get of to a good start i think we will beat them.In saying that tho Cove did score more easily than us but i think we really missed Shorty up forward as he is always good for 3-4 goals a game.Vick is a great player and i reckon he did get tagged but shook it of pretty well.Im not sure if tagging him is the answer maybe a B.Bailey needs to play on him and just back him in to win more of the footy.Certainly going to be a great finals series but im still backing the Emus,Hilly and Early will leave no stone unturned and im sure our boys will step up big time this week against the Valley.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Got mail from a good source that Christies never chased Lynch he actually contacted them ASKING for the job telling them how he will bring all these players.Remember Meekins got the job over Lynch 3 years ago,not sure why hes so keen to coach the saints but id be very careful going near the bloke not sure hes looked after the sharks that well.Be intersesting to see what happens, but then again it is silly season

Umpiring fo m/vale this season has been terrible. The last 2 weeks alone 47-12 free kicks (coves way),the week before 26-6 lions way.The umps really dislike m/vale.

Sounds like your on the money Know all I heard that as well but also have mail he rang Pt Noarlunga also.
Also well done Brighton taking all before them as stated before I can see a changing of the guard. Look forward to watching a cracker at the Shoe on Sat also well done to all who made the major round.
On our boys a VERY DISAPPOINTING end to the season but well done to all other grades who will play in the major round.
Also a sad day at the club for all as our club captain Benny Nyland calls it a day.Benny has been a true leader of the club and I and all at the club wish him all the best that the future holds(I for one hope he continues on in some capacity at the club)

Well well what can i say. At the Start of the year i said Moprhie Parks would win just as many games as they loose. 9 wins, a pretty good effort if u ask me and they didnt even play Hackham twice. Obviously the club has taken a massive step forward. Should be an interestin game this weekend, hopefully take another step forward. I would say Morphies would have to be the most improved club of the comp???

They had a few clubs worried!!!

Cyclops we had the worst umpiring performance seen on sat in our eighteens game up to 60 free kicks paid in a game with no send offs or melee's just 2 precious umps that confused all that played or watched from both sides

I heard the same Shoe Boy, something like 7 50m penalties in 1 quarter!! Seems ridiculous for a game that wasnt spiteful at all. But at least these umpires didnt threaten to 'knockout' one of your players like the Morphy Park umpire did in our B grade game.....

Another great year from Polly has seen him win the goal kicking 2 years in a row, great to back it up from last year and has been fighting injuries all year and has had an uncharacteristic year accuracy wise in front of the big sticks.

Surely we can expect a lot better from the men controlling our game in the coming weeks with a lot less games to officiate, as we all know mistakes are made and here's hoping that none of them effect the result of the game...
