The wait is finally over and the real stuff is upon us
Ill pick
Cove vs Bombers - I will go for the inform team, brighton but by only a kick or 2.
Valley vs Emus - I will go for the finals experienced emus by a couple also ( both cracking games)
Reynella vs Flaggys - Reynella by 10-15 goals. not much of a finals game really
Porties vs Morphettville - Porties by 7-8 goal.

Just a query does anyone know who the loser of both double chance games plays the next week.
ie who will Reynella and porties play next week (if my tips are right)

Just reading a few of the other league posts and noticed a few are having a crack at team of the year.
This seems like a good topic to discuss and get a bit of a debate and "friendly" banter going?
anyone willing to have a crack?

Reynella will play the loser of Cove/Brighton and Porties/Parks the loser of Emu's/Vikings...

The only notable absentee from Cove's side that beat Morphett Vale Saturday was Luke Weidermann... I am unsure his status for this week though whether he will be back or not... Matt Reavill played and got through fine and will be better for the first up run...

This will cop some criticism I know but I've had a go tried at putting a few together;

S.Brown S.Pollard N.Bayley

J.Pomeroy B.Mckeough J.Ramsey

W.Bilney J.Vick J.Veide

D.Frahm T.Rosewall D.Reavill

S.Mckenzie ? B.Moore

1st INT
M.short M.Bode
T.Johnstone L.Shrive
S.Dean B.Bayley

I know there's a few question marks but at what I've seen this yer that'd be pretty close to MY favourite, not really sure about a full back yet been a few who have stood out.
Gonna need a good full back to help out Moorey out of a back pocket I'm sure he'd love me if I was his coach

Jono, you seem to be concerned with who is lining up rather than your 'TEAMS' overall chances, surley with your B's sitting well you have the depth to repalce a few outs.

Like it Rodney..... Done well, i guess for full backs you would look at Smith and Platten, unsure who else is around but these two always seem to not have to many kicked on them

I reckon Id have smith at full back. havent seen anyone beat him this year. Holds all the likes of mckeough and ramsey etc to bugger all. I'm sure Pollard is glad he doesnt have to suit up against him.

I was responding to Shoe boy who was talking about how he was looking forward to the Cove Brighton game and was asking about whther both teams will have there full list.... There is great depth at the Cove which is shown by there win on the weekend without the Weed and a young 20yr old standing up at CHB in his place... I like our teams chances Defender but was responding in relation to who was and wasnt available

Fair enough Jono, This game should be a beauty. I think Brighton have not lost a game at Noarlunga for a decent period, the big oval suits their running game.

I see
BDOS by 25 points
M/Vale by 15points
Winies by heaps
Porties by 35

Mex, I was under the impression going by the AFL finals system that the loser of 1v4 (Cove/Brighton) will play the winner of 6v7 (Porties/Twisties) on the next Sunday; while loser of 2v3 (Vikings/Emus) will play the winner of 5v8 (Flies/Flagstaff) on the Saturday.

My predictions for the semis will be Cove vs Porties & Vikings vs Reynella .... but finals footy is a brand new season, no guarantees!

I disagree Lova, I'm with Axle and think the Twisties are some sort of chance against Porties most definately, especially if the Cockledivers are messing around trying to put players thru their C grade. I recall Morphies Magic saying they are expecting players back, and they have pulled some surprise results this season at full strength.

Which 5? naming them is the point to getting discussion going.
