Dogs I don’t understand, you go to the AFL, don’t you hear heckling from the crowd there. Heckling the opposition players is every supporters right when they pay their $6 at the gate, and when the player bites back you know you’ve got him off his game. Trying to start a fight cos of it is BS you gotta come out of the trees and start walking on two feet instead of all fours. As a player you do your best work on the field with your body as a supporter you do you best work behind the fence with your gob, either cheers or gears. You're not there to defend you players honor with fists, I’m sure the players can do that on the field with good footy.
Personally I loved being heckled from the crowd I used it to lift my game, I wish I got more of it over the years. I guess I wasn't a good enough player to justify it.
Agree with you their Bush! Nothing is meant to be personal just some harmless jibes to get them off their game, at the end of the day the players always know that they're on the right side of that white line and that's all that matters.
It would be ok if it was harmless jibes......what was being said was both derogatory, racist, and down right abusive behaviuor from a bunch of idiots.....there is no place at the footy for that - especially when there are kids around.....you get a little biut of alcohol into some of these idiots, have their mates around them and they think they are ten feet tall........

So don't agree with Bush - if you listen to some of teh stuff and your kids are around then there is no place for it - period......As I said barrack for your club, give a little harmless stick because yes the players love it...but leave the personal and racist abuse out of it.......IT IS NOT tolerated at AFL games.......

Heard that Shorty looked a bit wobbly on the weekend.

Dogs your loyalty in noble but you’re rescuing this guy.
I saw him earlier in the first quarter walk past some older supporters who were giving his team some, as you say basic stick and he was threatening them as well and when some other guys asked him to take it easy he said “I don’t have to put up with someone LOOKING at me like that”. I mean come on, and he was walking with his own kids then as well. The heckling in the second quarter was about this Brighton player being fat and the come back from this guy was “he’s fat because every time he roots your missus he gets a cream bun” or something like that. It was a good come back even if he was standing with his kids at the times. But after the crowd gave him some sarcastic gearing out came the, “send you best guy over here and we’ll sort it out right now.
And as for racial slurs, in all my years I’ve heard very few. BTW doesn’t the Morphetts team have a couple of aboriginal players playing for them?
I think you’re playing the race card to once again rescue this guy.

The Bomber won it easily. Todd Johnstone 33 votes from Moore with Vick third.
Won it by nine votes and was in an unbeatable position two rounds from the end of the count.

Toddy Johnstone you champion. Hey Bag the Points (the only bloke who knows more SFL stats than Grae Mckinnon), 33 votes must be close to a record. 12 years in the league and thats 7 medals to the Bomber boys (Jolly 3, Betterman 2, Moss and Johnstone) and throw in Tucker who won it by 8 votes in 2001 but was ineligible. Just need to start adding a few more Premierships.

HOT DOG Small D***.only got to look at the photo.

Just commenting on the fact that DTH paints himself and club as the role model to us all.

When they have leaders at there club who behave like morons. These few in the last couple of weeks have let their whole club down. BDOS have some very good people who very hard to keep their club at the top of the tree, however behaviour such as the Secretary's is appalling. Rellay how does he get away with telling the Secretary of another Club that she is a F****** Fat old bat in front of her kids?

Congrats to Johnstone he appeared to be a very humble man and watching his play a very worthy winner.

Anyway enough of DTH and BDOS because they are not here anymore.

I must say was very impresed with M/Vale last night, they showed why they are the winners they have been no histonics just thank you let the games begin.

Wasn't it great to see the talent in the room last night, what an inspiration for young footballers to see the Likes of ben Moore back playing local footy, I know the young blokes from my club were in awe of him

Racist?? give me a break.

Not one racist comment was made, plenty of fat jokes but I'm sure the player in question has heard it all before.

Would also like to see the people in charge cease getting names wrong. Just a few minutes familiarising themselves with names would make a huge difference. I got sick of hearing three votes repeatedly given to Todd "Johnson" ---- for crying out loud it's got as "t" in it !!! If I was sick of it, how much more would it have affected the man himself ?

I'd say even after winning the medal he still would have been soo depressed due to the fact they couldn't pronounce his name correctly that he would have gone home and killed himself.

Yeah agreed well done Toddy J. In all viewings of him over the past couple of years he has been fantastic, a well deserved winner.

I'm just glad I don't have to eat my shoe.

Bit sick of still hearing all the crap from the weekend, let it go boys. Grandy this weekend, those in it i'm sure don't care about a few sour words had, that's footy. Those that are out.....speaks for itself and is the reason you are still going on. BDOS have had a great year and yeah they are not grand finalists but they do have a great list and snagged the medal so all is not lost I'm sure. Move on boys.

Congrats to all winners from last night. Im assuming some more player life members were added last night. Has the SFL changed the rules of eligibility on this one yet. I once saw a player become a life member for playing 150 A grade games at 4 different clubs. Im sure there are many players who have played even over 250 games for their club but not 150 "A" grade games, because they could have been at a stronger club perhaps. Does this make them any less a role model for the SFL. I dont think so. In saying this congrats to those winners from last night and good luck to all GF teams. For the record, Emus by 40pts.

Well done to Todd Johnstone,A great season by him.Pretty disappointed that there seems to be a cock up every year with the Mail Medal. To have Todd Johnstone from HAPPY VALLEY on the power point presentation instead of Brighton was poor.In saying that at least they got the count right this season !!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!
