Ok lads I'll put the rumours to bed.

The new MVFC B Grade coach for 09 will be Screech.

We got him as part of the deal which sees Meekins coaching the 18's.

Came at a high price but we feel it will be worth it.

Woody and Harford (spelling?) are joint B grade coaches at the Emus. A good appointment I reckon good to see someone who has been around for a while in Woody step up and give coaing a go.

Only question is, if Woodies knee is right will he play or just coach? Pretty hard as a new coach to always play so will be interesting to see his decisions.

When does round one start, and if so, which team has the bye for the opening round?

Round 1 28 March
Marion/Brighton
H/Valley/M/Parks
all others have a bye.

4 April all others play with Brighton with the bye.

i heard there is a few emus looking to just play c grade this year with woody to be one of them so if thats correct maybe just coaching. good appointment i believe in b grade coaching to be internal and former/current players. is shorty starter and gav allen playing on this year and how is smiths bays pre season going

I heard flaggies have got a few recruits this year 2 ruckmen 1 from para hills and 1 guy called snake used to be brighton and a good on baller from westies who had op last year and some1 else not sure yet. mattee G confirm??? that could just get them into the eight as it might be a tight squeeze for that spot, they could even press 4 a higher position.

yes all true with also a signing of a valley that hasnt played for a while thru injuries and operations but is right now to go
