Anyone that has been to Flaggy oval knows we have out grown our facilities, finally we have plans in place to get new change rooms. These plans are now out on the councils website and open for feedback, if you could spend a couple of minutes to provide feedback to help us achieve this it would be appreciated -

Heard a rumour there is a petition going from some local residents regarding the proposed placement of the new facilities... need to get around Flaggy's to make this happen, surely the $$$ expire soon...

SFL meeting tonight ,

Thoughts on current situation ? I hear possible halt to first half year then play each other once into finals ?

The advice from medicos must be adhered too including player and umpire welfare including volunteers who stand the gate , BBQ, Canteen , water people , Bar .

All restrictions will pull on financial strings across the whole club .

Surely at worst they can scrap Association football and State country football which means we could start the season 2 weeks later at what would be Round 3 currently which is 6 weeks away. We just have to shift the games along a couple of weeks. Surely better to have a full season of football and no Association football than to have a compromised season! Just a thought

With a landscape changing daily I will have a crack ,

The community football to impose a zero salary cap for 2020 , the SAAFL looking for a 16 week comp  pushing into the cricket season with SACA open to this model . I believe the SFL will play a 9 game comp with a finals series .

The SANFL looking at using Adelaide Oval as a hub with Friday night / double header Saturday/ and stand alone Sunday with no Crows or Port Adelaide to participate , this model would only be based on AFL allowing broadcast with FOX?

8 game / 9 week season, is that what you mean?

Wonder if they would consider something like 11/12 game season if time allows? With the teams you play twice being the 2-3 clubs near where you finished on the table in 2019, would provide for some very good competitive games across the comp, good crowds and ability for the clubs to get back on their feet, not ot mention Home & Away games for every club in each group.

e.g Noarlunga/Flaggy/Christies in Group 1, Porties/Reynella/HV in Group 2, MV/Cove/Aldinga in Group 3

At a local level I can’t see it happening until crowd restrictions are lifted and that appears highly unlikely in the short / medium term. No crowds equals no income (gate, canteen, bar, sponsors) and no income equals bankrupt clubs.

On the off chance no footy gets played this year. What happens with the points system. Will all points just stay the same for next year e.g. a 3 point player recruited this year is 3 points next year or will a 3 point player this year only be 2 points next year if he stays at the same club.
Also what about a clubs total points allocation. Should that stay the same.

Nearby neighbours in the GSFL have had their first team withdraw for season 2020. Yankalilla pulling the pin yesterday on it's Facebook page. No crowds obviously means no gate takings nor canteen... Should we scrap this season altogether? Will this be the last team to withdraw and will there be any in SFL.... lots of questions....
