With talk of club struggling to field two senior sides in 2019 (although I note it is only 1 March), what is the likelihood of clubs fielding C Grade teams this year?

How are Hackham's numbers?

There was talk in the Hills C Grade thread of combining the HFL and SFL Sunday comps - is this something that should be seriously looked at given the talk of declining numbers in the SFL?

I have not heard one word re sides struggling to field 2 senior sides ?

Last delegates meeting nominations for c grade where tabled which included Hackham (who fielded 2 c grade sides 2018) Kangarilla who have requested to play in the SFL C grade comp due to lack of numbers in Hills and the regular sides c/beach , Flaggies , Reynella , Valley , Cove , with Porties and Noarlunga undecided at that time but would consider before the nomination time .

So please enlighten me with declining numbers ?

Just what I have read on here SB, nothing more.
Great to hear the intention of these clubs to field sides.
What was the response to Kangarilla's request? Is this locked in?

Never have I seen a situation where a club couldn't field an A and B grade .

If a club has a C grade that feels it is its own club , it should be knee capped .

Once again Jake... any more info on your 'mail'? You've mentioned twice now that clubs will struggle to field A and B grades... must be confident to name them?

I would love to name them, but I don’t think it’s in the clubs best interests to do so.

My mail is normally spot on though

Fair point - it wouldn't be in the clubs best interests... But is it in the leagues interest to come on and make unsubstantiated rumours?

The word on the street is that Cove have had a poor turn out to preseason numbers of 20 ish including 17.5s not really enough for 3 teams. Seems to be a large number of transfers out of Cove? Something wrong in the snake pit?

That cannot be correct, they won the 17.5 flag last year so should be in the best position in the league for juniors going to seniors

Could be nothing but heard the 17.5 coach from last year is spending his time at the bays while the assistant coach doesn't seem to be in a coaching role players haven't been contacted is the word and a fair few are moving on or not playing. Might be nothing more then players not interested in preseason

Check out the cove clearances seems to be a lot all round the grades

Have heard Sunday juniors might be Under 15 and 1/2 only and Flaggies have taken their Sunday Junior second sides down the hill. A few kids might struggle for a game now?

Hackham pulled out of their trial this week. Don’t know the reason?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

It hasn’t been shut down by a poster on this site....

On a side note Happy Valley not putting 2 full sides out for a trial on the weekend traditionally would be concerning. Yes, it’s a trial but no matter the circumstances in years gone by Valleys wouldn’t have any issue putting at least 2 sides on the park and on top of this would have absolutely smashed any Hills div 2 A grade side, no matter how many were missing.

Happy Valley and Morphett Vale over the last 25 years at one stage or another held strong claims of being the strongest overall Football Clubs in SA. Stunning how the wheel turns.

Yes he has stood down due to personal reasons
