i know many members of the aldinga community, have lived there, and spent time at that footy club

in hearing, that footy club has won say the division 7 premiership, or has won its 10th game for the year, or is redeveloping its oval due to the influx of sponsors would be simply tremendous not only to me but to many, many people in the football across the state, and to you too hopefully in your SFL heart.

Finally some thing to talk about. Good on you marbles. Unfortunately you have lost your marbles mate. The Aldinga Football Club has certainly had its troubles in the past and is having its issues at the moment but it is 100% committed to staying in th SFL next season. It is currently putting new measures in place and is moving in a very positive direction towards the 2020's.
As far as Noarlunga being in div 5 and Flaggies being in div 3 you have also lost your marbles. BDOS who were a very respected team in the SFL are doing ok in Div 1 Ammos, but the team that they are playing with most weeks still has very similar names as when they were playing in the SFL and they certainly were up in the top bracket of teams but they were not dominating then. The Flaggies team of the last 3 years would beat that BDOS side. As for the shoes current side which would have to be current favorites for this years SFL premiership would beat that BDOS team also.
All up to peoples opinions though i guess.
I think football in General should discuss the Hills, Southern and Great Southern becoming Country Super league. There is currently 38 teams within those leagues. With Div 1,2 and 3 having a 10 team comp with Div 4 having an 8 team comp. Promotion and relegation for the 2 top teams and bottom 2 teams. Div 1 would look like this right now - Mt compass,Willunga,Victor Harbour, Mclaren, Noarlunga,Christies Beach,Flagstaff Hill, Handorf, Onkaparinga Valley and Mt Barker. WOWZA

oh so you feel Flaggies and Noarlunga are div 1 standard but its fine for your div 7 standard club of aldinga having to play these supreme units every second week, and all their div 7 standard players, their families and friends and all their club volunteers just need to put new measures in place because thats gonna bring them great success hopefully by 2030 but until then just look forward to their 1 game win a season and 17 thrashings, how nice for them all.

put a sign out the front..."new measures being put in place, this weeks match we play div 1 standard flaggies, best to avoid coming this week"

..... meanwhile marion & lonsdale making div 7 grand finals.

Why aren't you including Myponga in your Div 7 discussion also? Aldinga have at least won a game and provide a full suite of juniors to the SFL

Doubt GSFL would entertain the idea as they have netball with the football.

Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story

66% of the team that played in the 2016 SFL prelim for Brighton didn’t play for them on the weekend

While talking Brighton, interesting to see the son of the Brighton President who drove the move out of the SFL, now playing back in the SFL.

Bute to Warooka is 1hr 51m. Long day when under 10’s start at 8:30 and you are involved with the A’s. Many families go down the night before and make a weekend of it.

But how many senior A grade players who play at these clubs actually live in the town they play for. It would be a bigger strain on the juniors and their parents because they are the ones who are more likely based in or near the club that they play.

Netball seems to be the big issue for the GSFL changing its current structure.

On the topic of Brighton, I would suggest we are stronger than the team that finished 2nd and 3rd in our last 2 seasons in the SFL but not by alot. It's not so much the top end talent but also the quality of players 16 to 21 selected each week and that is where we have got stronger in my opinion. But it's all relative and also comes down to sustaining effort and having the depth to keep you competitive through a full season rather than just lining up the best 21 players from 2 clubs in separate leagues and picking who the best team is.

Vics01 was at our game on Saturday so he might have a neutral observation on what a Division 1 match looked like to him.
