Wade has played at Flaggies in juniors and graduated into seniors - worked his way up from C's to Captain of the A's - and also made a HUGE contribution to the club on a committee level.

I had the pleasure of playing with Wade, working with Wade around the club and socialising with him.

The fat old bloke only held the record by accident, waiting for someone worthy to take it off him - and Wade is all of that. We should remember that another true champion of the Flagstaff Hill Footy Club - Doug Degenhardt - held the record for about 20 years ... and thoroughly deserved it with a massive number of A grade games & A grade B'n'Fs with the club from way back in the old United Church League through to the SFL.

So well done Wade, whatever the numbers say it's really Dougy's record you've broken - and you're both true champions of the FHFC !!!

wouldn,t it be great if we at all clubs could just get the loyalty which has been displayed here with wade not about the cash or the glory but about the contribution to the club!

Probably shouldnt forget that Andrew Heatley held the record ( i think ) at some stage. He is another one whose loyalty to Flaggies shouldnt be forgotten.Won a couple mail medals at Reserve level, one of the best leaders of men this club has had.I reckon that Dazza was a worthy holder of the record as well.Tireless worker for the club, and a great bloke as well.Wade does epitomise what hard work can acheive.Great club man,Great A grade captain but more importantly a great bloke.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!
