Hey I will give this ladder thing a crack

Brighton
M/Vale
Towns
Reynella
Cove
Noarlunga
M/Parks
Porties

While Im here after the first week of finals bye bye to Porties and Noarlunga
And into prelims Brighton and M/Vale
Then after second week of finals bye bye to towns and M/Parks
then after the weekend of prelims we will have Brighton and M/vale left.
Then I Brighton will win the big one. The 2 will be between these two teams aswell with Brighton winning that one too.
There you go down the hill that should make you happy.

Agree with most of this GTP, but if they finish in this order and Week One goes as you say, Towns and Roos will play each other in the Semi.
Can't see Towns missing the Prelims.

My ladder prediction-

Brighton
Morphett
Towns
Reynella
Cove
Noarlunga
Valley
Port

Prelims to be Brighton v. Towns and Morphett v. Cove
Although I have a wary eye on Towns (who could even end up with the Flag), my actual tip is for Morphett to bag the Flag after beating Brighton in the Grandy (a turnaround from losing to them in the August Showdown)

after today's performance you do not deserve to be top. not that you want it at a club but i had the hawks down as a major loss but you could not even beat us by 30 goals. i still think m/vale are the team to beat in 09!

Firstly, this is quite a sad statement criticising a team because the didn't beat you by thirty goals.

Secondly, the fact that Brighton aren't thrashing the weaker teams by as much doesn't mean a lick, as nearly all of them won't be playing finals.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Won't be surprised to see them in the Grand Final.

4 teams that are very clean with disposal
edwardstown
reynella
morphettvale
brighton

this is the main reason these teams will battle it out to play in a GF
my tip is Towns for 2009

Brighton will not win there last 2 games against cove & flys & this will see them finish fourth.. m/vale & towns will both win there 1st week of finals - setting up a GF between these 2 after they both win there prelims...

Thats a pretty big call that Brighton wont win any of the last 2 as they have cove this week and if I'm right they beat them by 15 goals earlier on in the year. The only thing against Brighton for this Saturday would be the fact its at cove and the record for them at the socer pitch isn't the best. For the record I think they will best The flies at home aswell but time will tell.

If the Bombers drop their last two, could it get even worse for them ? Fourth will probably meet Morphett Vale, and if they don't win that their Semi looks like Cove again ?

Looking good so far.. Cove are in some nice form smashing bombers by 8 goals... How far will the bombers go in the finals if they finish fourth... I could see them not winning another game all year if they get the draw that is shaping up come sept time...

Yep big game for the Bombers this week. Certainly wouldnt want to head into finals with 3 losses on the trot. From what i hear the second half fadeout against Cove would be of some concern..? Could it possibly have something to do with the concrete oval Brighton play / train on.

Think a few Morphies players would have been happy it was a sunday game this week to get an extra days rest after playing on Brighton oval the week before.

we played at cove the week before and i find it hard to believe that an oval could be harder than the cobras. everyone had both legs grazed as if it was ashfalt

Obviously you weren't one of the Reynella players who commented how good the condition of the oval was a few weeks ago then.
