Showdown- Hackham v. Aldinga

Postby Bag The Points » Tue May 11, 2010 1:46 pm

Who will crack it for a stunning victory in the Great Showdown at Doctors Road -- Hackham or Aldinga ? My tip is the Sharks. I reckon they can atone for "Black Saturday" from the end of 2009.

Obviously gone with us. 15 goals may be a bit much though Deepy.

I'd say somewhere between 5-8 goals for us.

You're an idiot.

One thing is for sure I'd hope Brad puts his 'strongest' side on the park or the fate may lie the same it did last year. Hackham when up and running at home can play some half descent footy when against ordinary opposition. I would still hope for Aldingas sake they repeat the first time they met last year not the second that was a terrible terrible day.

Good luck to both sides it is good to have something to look forward too in a long season, too feel they are both in with a genuine chance makes a big difference. Good luck.

You should never have mentioned $4 beers to TBB you may have to double the stocks.

Just a quick thought re Premiership Table after Sat Showdown.

Either Hackham or Aldinga will have accumulated premiership pts (even if it's a draw).
Marion are playing Christies, and I'm expecting Christies to get up.

Sat night Marion may be still be sitting down the bottom of the table, with zero points, while Aldinga or Hackham are above them.

Wow ! Hawks have picked up after a slow start and shot to the lead. It will be interesting to see if the Sharks can bounce back again in the next term.

I think the Sharks list has improved, younger, quicker players across the board. Rigby (south), Scott Hunt (south)and Tyler (snow bunnies) 3 of our ins from last years final round. Just need a couple of bigger bodies in the spine. Could be a former junior coming back, wants to play with his brother I believe.
