Not sure if you should be publicising this. We are not meant to be acknowledging achievements - it is for fun only with no winners or losers.

Please respect the poor children who were not in the winning team, we must care for their emotional wellbeing.

We also must not place any expectations on the winners, they may stop enjoying playing

You must be kidding life is about winners and losers about exams about succeeding about setting goals there has to be measured outcome we do accept the battler in life .Kids see Olympics commonwealth games and AFL every week

Gday all,

As we are 3 weeks and 2 weeks for some from round 1, I would like to know how many clubs are fielding Saturday sides this year in 14,16,18's.

Christies Beach have enough numbers for an U/18 team in their own right. Where did you hear that one?

Draw is finally out for 14/16/18's...14 & 16s a 10 team comp and 18's a 9 team comp.

If Im reading it right Porties have no 14s or 16s???

I know it can't be easy doing the draw but we play HV twice in a row in July!

7 teams in Sunday under 14's comp (down from 11 last year - no teams from Cove, MVale, Noarlunga and Brighton only one team this season)

5 teams in Sunday under 16's comp (up from 4 last year)

Are Edwardstown filling teams in SFL under 8's this year?

Edwardstown Junior Sports Club have 2 teams in the Metro South comp this year playing their home games at Edwardstown, so that suggests not.

The Sunday comp has been abused from what it was intended and clubs/parents and kids do not want any part of it!

Problem is a number of clubs are not developing kids to play Saturday football, they are disregarding Saturday football completely

I guess my comment was coming from clubs that have both, but fair point.

Unusual one for me is Porties, why would they have a Sunday 14s but not Saturday?

Generally Porties juniors is made up from Cardijn students, so would say that the school might have a team in the SAAS middle school comp that play on Saturdays

Under that thinking they also don't want anything to do with the Saturday comp =D> at least clubs aren't putting in teams who forfeit every few weeks like what happened last season
